Warm Gun: The Second Coming of the Wild West A futuristic wild west, Warm Gun combines the favorite motifs of the classic western genre with the scraps of an obliterated technocracy. World War III has been fought to the tipping point and ecologists’ long unheeded cries have been silenced by the grim truth of their predictions. To the last drop of oil have the world’s resources been depleted, and only sporadic traces of modern structure can be sifted in the dust. Time ticks forward but humans must retrace their advancement back, through a history that has already been lived and to the Wild West for the second time around. We have trampled ahead to the past in muddy boots, to the United States of late 19th century. Greeted by the ghost of the wide-open country, the exhausted land is barren too, of all the old dreams we fulfilled beyond our means. This spun western lets you create your own one-of-a-kind characters and unique gangs; choose from weapons new and strange and a wider range...

Some level shots and props / just some of the things you will see in the Warm Gun world
is that bridge with those metal sheets all one prop?
No we do whats called kit bashing...
Try to get complex models broken into parts so that the level designers can mix and match, adds more variety to the levels :)
oh i see. good idea.
The textuer on the panels looks blurry and streched, also makes some gaps between the panels.
The lighting is a little bland but the terrain is fantastic.
I agree with the spacing, but I disagree with the blurry and stretched bit. I think that it would be cool if the bright reflections that are usually seen off of metal like that could be simulated, but I'm not sure how. Great stuff.
Great suggestions guys,
I have to say...these level shots are not from in game...
they are taken from the level editor...
In game they will have nice bloom effects and better lighting.
I'll post better screens next update.
I think it's great you guys are using modular design, it's a really nice way of re-using assets without having it look like you're re-using them :)
