I don't believe I've seen a fighter or other small craft in Nexus 1 use that engine trail colour before. Is this screenshot depicting the Thunderbolt as its own capital ship in the Nexus 1 engine?
Can't wait to see a full version of this model fully adapted for spaceflight. Are you going to replace the air intakes with rear thrusters? Or are you just going to say "these are the airbreathing parts of the engine used only when conducting operations within a combustible atmosphere" and put the rear thrusters elsewhere on the fighter's structure?
wait a minute, I noticed something wrong with this, the wings are backwards lol. The wings dont have a downturn at the the like this model does, its the other way around, the wing mount is below the engines and they come up and out, hard to explain but look at the forgeworld models and youll see what I mean
Umm I love the model but the Thunderbolt is an atmospheric fighter...only. The Fury Interceptor is the Imperial Navys primary void fighter...and the Starhawk Bomber. The Marauder is atmospheric only as well.
Its is the same thing with the Harbingers, Hell Talons, and Hell Blades. Chaos Armada primarily uses the Swiftdeath Fighter and Doomfire Bomber in the void.
awesome.. so excited to see all the warships and space craft of the 41st millennium!!
hope to see birds like the marauder too!
If all goes well, you will see marauder there soon.
amazing work :)

Nope, it is just a fighter. It is easy to add these trail effects.
This is the final model. We might add some maneuvering thruster effects but we will stick to this canonic look.
Okay, I understand. It's not like the Forgeworld miniature developers are engineers with a background in spaceplane designs, after all.
It'll still be interesting to see where you put the maneuvering thrusters anyway.

Im sorry they are intra-atmosphereic to allow for launching a docking from a starship but they are designed for atmosphereic operations.
