This mod actually started sometime 2005 as an idea in the mind of the someone you all mostly know as The Hunter alto the idea never gotten any form until early 2006 were I made the very first model for the mod and started working on organizing the mod and planning things by myself. The mod itself is based of an old PC strategy game known as WarGames which was made by a game studio which was formerly known as Interactive Studios. Alto the game was absolutely amazing and very ahead of it's time when it was released it never got the attention which it deserved (or at least not in my opinion) as many features of the game were seen in other RTS games way later and some I have yet to see in other RTS games. The game. The game itself is about the N.O.R.A.D. (North American Aerospace Defense Command) and the W.O.P.R. (War Operations Plan Response). The N.O.R.A.D. represents the human side of the game which must protect humanity from total annihilation by the W.O.P.R....

After almost one year of development, we are proud to present you The WarGames Zero:Hour a total conversion mod for C&C: Generals Zero:Hour.
The mod is based on old game from '98 known as WarGames, which was loosely based on a MGM film from the 80ies with the same title. The original game featured two completely different factions, N.O.R.A.D. (North American Aerospace Defense Command) and W.O.P.R. (War Operation Plan Response) each with it's own unique units, structures strategies it employed to win. Also for its time WarGames had very advanced graphics and it was one of the first if not first RTS game that was done fully in 3D (the game showed up almost a year ahead of such games like WarZone 2100, Ground Control or Earth 2150).
And now little bit more info on our mod/total conversion, the mod will feature two completely unique sides N.O.R.A.D. and the W.O.P.R., each with its own assortment of military hardware to chose from.
N.O.R.A.D. is specialized in traditional warfare and will feature units like infantry, tanks, helicopters, stealth bombers, battle ships, submarines and some other interesting military hardware. On the other side W.O.P.R. prefers high-tech military hardware in form of battle drones which replace the infantry and heavily armed mech walkers which are generally more powerful but slower and more costly than their N.O.R.A.D. counterparts and lots of other other highly specialized units.
some other features about the mod worth mentioning:
-unique sounds for all units and weapons,
-new soundtracks for each side,
-new system of gathering resources,
-new control bar,
-new AI for both sides which will use all available units,
-fully featured navy for both sides including battleships, submarines, naval transports...,
-new tech buildings,
-new maps made especially for the mod,
-no super weapons, but some units like stealth bombers will more than make for that.
With the N.O.R.A.D. side almost 90% complete, you can expect the first beta in a few weeks.
