Bringing the Wargaming experience to Fallout New Vegas

I never thought this day would come. True ground vehicles in NV have arrived.

Last night, after putting the finishing touches on this lovely little VTOL.

I contemplated what to model next. Tanks, seemed the most likely candidate. Everyone loves tanks. The sad part of this was, I knew they wouldnt actually be tanks, they would be pesudo-tanks. Fixed turret, hover-tanks, to be exact. That removed, for me, the 2 most fundamental aspects of a tank. The rotating turret, and suspension tracks.

So just before modelling these pesudo hover tanks, which would be crudely rigged to eyebots and look totally rubbish ingame - I decided to see what ol ermeso on nexus was up to (modding grandmaster). Good move I think. I was delightfully surprised with what I found. This legend of a man had done it. He had done what all said was impossible, he had created true ground vehicles.

So me being me, I immediately shot the man a pm. We had a little discussion about support for tanks, turrets and tracks and also custom models. All in all very promising and Im extremely excited. Cars and tanks, have arrived.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I was under the impression that this mod is a total conversion.

@DarkAssassian - Most likely, as its self-contained in its own little world, and uses very few assets from the vanilla game.

@.Clash - You're correct, its a total conversion.

I hope so since I love the gameplay additions of Project Nevada like bullet time, sprint, and mobile reticle. I don't know about the PN modules but with this setting I won't need PN's Cybernetics module to get augs. I definitely asked for this. :P

The only real issue I can see is the sprint module, as it may effect the mecha, allowing the large slow ones (medium types an to be released down the road, heavy types) to sprint when they shouldnt be able to. That tho is a bridge Ill have to cross when I get to it.

Oh, wow, this sounds absolutely amazing.
I sense the beginning of Fallout 4 on this very mod-page.

Agh omg this is so very amazing! I can just imagine with a bigger worldspace to give cross country travel the distance it really should feel.
