Warcraft Total War is a total conversion mod for Medieval II Total War. Our goal is to bring the Warcraft universe into a Total War game. This mod will feature epic battles with units from the Warcraft universe and a new campaign that will cover the events of the Third War and beyond.

Warcraft Total War Alpha 1 Release

Features the Azeroth campaign map with seven factions (Lordaeron, Quel'Thalas, The Scourge, The Horde, Theramore, Night Elves, Burning Legion) using vanilla unit rosters as placeholders.

It has been over 3 years since I first began this project. Since then, team members have come and gone, significant progress was made and some was devastatingly lost. I myself have gone from knowing nothing about modding to being in a position to release this early, working build of the Warcraft Total War mod. This alpha 1 release is basically a campaign map demo with the factions using vanilla unit rosters as placeholders. Going forward, we hope to make incremental improvements and additions to the mod and release these updates accordingly. For now, enjoy this early build of Warcraft Total War.

Requirements:
- a clean installation of Medieval 2 Total War patched to 1.3
- a clean installation of the Kingdoms expansion patched to 1.5

Download Mirrors:
Moddb.com
Mediafire.com

Instructions:
1. Download and unrar
2. Place the WTW folder in Medieval 2 Total War\mods
3. Run the .bat
4. Enjoy!

Or at least we'll try to, as our current modeller is just a beginner.
Really it's the thing we need the most. At this pace with no one offering to help I'm seeeing this mod being done in every other aspect, with the only thing missing being the units proper modelled and textured, plus the EDU.

Hm, any modellers out there that might want to give it a try?
Pretty please?

Only one who does not know anything about Warcraft says that. Or mindless warhammer fans. I personally like both universes, altough Warcraft has much more meaning to me.

Warcraft: Orcs&Humans was clearly based off both Warhammer and LOTR, it wasn't actually intended to go as far as it did today, but over the time (especially in Warcrat 3 and beyond) it has acquired it's own rich and unique universe, that can't be denied if you know it's story, which has absolutely nothing to do with Warhammer, except for the Orcs and Goblins being green and the Burning Legion being somewhat similar to Chaos in the sense that it's an extra-dimensional evil trying to take over the world. Your post looked more like trolling than your honest opinion (if you have one at all).

We aren't doing this mod as a copy of Warhammer Total War or Third Age Total War, but simply because we like the Warcraft Universe.

You are absolutely right Warcraft is NOT a warhammer replica nor is this mod.

This one has a better campaign map, and more different factions...
