Warcraft Source mod

WCS enables the fun for CS:S! You can choose between many races from the Warcraft 3 universum (plus custom made) and level your 'character' to gain special useful skills. There is shop to spend the gold you've collected on magical items.

Warcraft-Source Mod for EventScripts was started in 2006 by a coder named Kryptonite.
It was based off of WC3 by Pimpin Juice which was a warcraft mod for CS 1.6.
It went under a lot of development as it release public versions with Kryptonite at the helm of the coding team for WCS.
With it stopping official development towards the end of the 2008 at version .77.
A few times after a few people got together to make new versions of wcs mod.
Such was as Warcraft:Source Python was a complete recode of WCS into python for speed and stability.
This project was lead by Jeff91 and Freddukes and the project also stopped development a year later.
With the arrival of the Orange Box update a lot of addons and functions broke which was a big smack in our face,
but it also forced us to come up with all sorts of updates.
Hetal the current leader of the official Warcraft-Source.com assigned La Muerte to keep track of the site layout.
In 2010 Freddukes started back up the WCS:P version for development which is going well, with alot of recoding finished already.
With a fresh generation of Custom Coders the standard WCS:OB version is strongly improving and growing in capacity each day.
Now Tha Pwned has created a WCS mod written in python but its loading races still in ES:S, in other words it's very customizable and still easy to code races/ultimates and shopitems for. It's bug free and requires only ES.

WCS comes with a default racelist of 12 races, it's racelist is completely editable with total openness to customization.
You can find races and addons that improves the WCS gameplay on the official Warcraft-Source website.

Some tips:

You may find veteran players who have levelled up the characters, don't be discouraged if you get beaten, they may have an advantage over you with their abilities but if you kill a higher level player than you, you will get a large XP bonus depending on how many levels they are above you.
And when it comes down to it, your gun is your greatest asset... If you have good accuracy and reaction time then you will advance quickly and be higher level in no time.

The vanilla classes are all balanced, this is one of WC:S strengths in that it maintains balance so that players will choose a class that has abilities which fits their playstyle... rather than choosing the 'uber' class.

Useful binds:

bind v "say shopmenu"
You can combine this with "; Menuselect *; menuselect * " Replace the asterix with a number to get you the corresponding menu and item.

There are certain abilities that are not passive and therefore must be activated, Bind the following keys to use the ability.

bind q "say ultimate"
