WarCraft III: World of WarCraft (Wc3:WoW) is the most accurate WoW replica mod for WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne, featuring many elements as WoW does. It is a Single Player Campaign and the WarCraft III engine does not allow Campaigns to be played online or even on LAN. Wc3:WoW is currently being developed by a group of developers who hope to become pro some day called Condemned Entertainment. Previously, the team was given the simple 'Wc3:WoW Team' title, but after realizing it wasn't a professional team title to stick with, the team name was changed. Right now, the leader of Wc3:WoW is Craka_J, who had led the project through tedious development for over 4 years.

Thanks to the fans over at The Hive Workshop for showing us some cool new WarCraft III systems, it looks like there's a way to include a quick spell bar, like in World of Warcraft, in Wc3:WoW without the need of a third-party program! Here's a video that was shown to us to prove it wasn't a hoax: Youtube.com

Please keep in mind the video is not Wc3:WoW nor is it created by Wc3:WoW developers. It's a different project for WarCraft III - or at least a tech demo of what you can do in WarCraft III - but the features you see are all being considered for Wc3:WoW. What is displayed in the video is an inventory/equipment system, a talent tree, and quick spell bar (AKA Action Bar). The character inventory and equipment systems are not going to be used - we're going to do something more WoW based - but the action bar and talent tree systems are along the lines of what we'll attempt to bring to Wc3:WoW once the other interface systems are done and when we get more spells completed too.

Eleandor has been doing a little bit of texture modification for tiles as well. Right now he has modified the Mulgore and Durotar tiles so that they blend together much better, like in World of Warcraft. They look great so far! He's also triggering, but it's exam week now so he'll be pretty tied up this week. Afterwords, we'll see what gets done.

I'm not sure. Hopefully there is a way. Will provide more news on it when we begin developing it and throwing it into Wc3:WoW.

You should just re-code the entire thing, like the big bolckie thing at the bottem of your screen.

Can't. It's a part of the WarCraft III engine and the only way to recode it is if we use a third-party program, which would force anyone who wants to play the Wc3:WoW campaign without problems to run the same third-party program(s). RtC's third-party programs can make it possible, but we're trying to get as much progress done as possible without the use of third-party programs.
