WC: AND is a highly ambitious project that will utilize the immense power of the Galaxy Editor in order to breathe life into the Warcraft RTS series once more. This will be a fully fledged conversion featuring a breathtaking, lore abiding storyline spanning several emotionally-gripping campaigns containing new units, new heroes and new features as well as a fully fledged melee mode.

This is a complete overhaul; the finished product will have much more in common with wc3 than sc2, however daunting it may seem this is possible and can happen, but not without commitment! Not without you! Join the team, post suggestions or just show us your enthusiasm! Continuation of the Warcraft RTS series lies but a click away!

We're Not Dead... Yet.

Our apologies - once again - for the lack of updates!
We know you'll have seen some activity from the likes of Arketem, our terrainer. At last count we had ten melee maps under our belt, thanks to his continued efforts. If you haven't already be sure to check it all out!

Ashenvale - Melee Map

The Barrens - Melee Map

Stormwind - Melee Map

In connection, Turminator8 (Or Master Wing(u)) has been hard at work developing a series of modpack files for Starcraft II, stuffed full of Warcraft/WoW doodad models. This saves us importing however many hundred models into every map we make.

He's been working extremely hard and put together a fair amount of these packs and it's very much become a project in its own right, and although not yet "complete", is now available for download.

So, if you're sick of waiting for WCAND you can now actually download these modpacks and start terraining your own Warcraft or Fantasy themed maps now!

Things to note:

  • The packs currently only contain DOODAD models, there are no units yet.
  • Due to BNet limitations, Wing and our team cannot host all the mod packs on all the servers on our own, if you're willing to help out in any way, hosting files on your BNet account or updating/contributing to current packs or even creating entirely new ones, please email Wing at: Warcraft.ModelLibrary@gmail.com

Currently uploaded Mod Packs (EU and NA):

As always, thank you ever so much for your continued support, we hope this release helps tide you over and inspires others to jump on the Fantasy -> Starcraft II bandwagon!

    Until Next Time,
    - Grey Nightmare

I don't think you should use WoW models. Blizzard might file a cease and desist on you.

We've since decided to focus all our initial efforts on a melee/skirmish release, before focussing too much on the story or campaign. We want the mechanics right before we tackle the story, thus preventing one from ruining the other.
But lots of cinematic moments and 'hub' based missions are definitely attractive prospects!

This deserves to finished man. I loved warcraft 3, and one thing I have always been fanatical about is the trolls in warcraft 3. I would play this mod for months to come if the trolls look as awesome as they do in warcraft 3(WoW trolls are very disappointing, very ugly and not even close to the awesomeness that is warcraft 3 trolls) So I really hope this won't die off.

Thanks for the feedback! Sadly due to a severe lack of models and modellers (particularly fantasy based ones), we're using mostly WoW models with 'intent to replace' as and when we get our hand on more models, modellers or both. With any luck the upcoming release of HotS and Blizzard's StarTools (Modelling Plugins) will help us on our way!

We have no intention to scare, anger or induce any kind of negative emotion in Blizzard and their affiliates, believe me.
If we're told to stop, we'll stop - But I think if people are thinking like that, it should benefit the fans and Blizzard both. More Sc2 sales and a 'modern' Warcraft game/mod. Win-Win?

First Blizzard kills Arthas/Nerthul and everything that were Warcraft 3,screws up the story and lore, comes up with old relic of Neltharion/Deathwing,then comes up with some panda or what out of nowhere with no boss like Arthas,Diablo or Sargeras to be worth playing it,not even a slightiest mention something about RTS and W4 and they would like to stop YOU? but money's are money,eh? Tahts the only reason why DOTA ended up in Valve,I guess.

Thus far we have not been approached by Blizzard in anyway shape or form and I'm sure an odd employee or two must have stumbled across this mod.

We'll continue to work our hardest on this until (if) they tell us to stop.
