War of the Worlds is a modification for Valve Software's Half Life 2. This modification is based upon the Novel by H.G Wells. The Mod takes place at the turn of the 19th Century in Victorian Surrey, England where Martians invade. You play a man who has a normal life who finds himself caught up in the invasion, watching his world around him fall apart at the hands of the Martians. The Narrative is told in a unique way that no mod or even commercial game has ever done before, which we are keeping very close to our chests and not revealing until very close the release of the mod.

Perhaps he got confused with Orson Welles, who caused a panic with his "War of the Worlds" based radio broadcast in 1938. (where everybody thought it was actually a real invasion from Mars and not a radio show)
hmmm similar story i wonder could it be? no.... they're the same thing I am sorry but you are fool pistol monkey the book is called War of the worlds ring any bells!!! also george orwell wrote animal farm the writer was called HG wells and there is a film coming out based on this book very soon.

George Orwells book had monsters very similar to the ones above.. looks good, The Time Machine was the name of the book I believe. Really good book. Hope the mod is good too :D

Please don't get any ideas from that aweful War of the Worlds adaption.
Please if it is anyway possible include music from Jeff Waynes Musical version of The War of the Worlds that rocks literally.
