Brief Description:
"War of the Worlds: The Great Adventures" is a Half-Life 2: Garry's Mod Gamemode that is based on the book, "War of the Worlds" by H.G. Wells. In this gamemode, you can choose to be on the Alien or Human team. This is multiplayer only, and plans for single player is not thrown away. We will work on that later, but we are set on finishing Multiplayer fisrt.
>Multiplayer Modes
...War Mode
Classic deathmatch mode between Humans and Aliens.
...Mini War Mode
A "boxed" up little arena between Humans and Aliens.
...Assasination Mode
One person is an tripod, and the rest of the players have to destory it.
...V.I.P. Mode
A coop type mission. You have to escort the all the World Leaders to safety, without letting anyone die.
...Co-Op Mode
Play co-op missions from either one of the three single player modes or 8 other co-op designed maps.

The mod is still going, but the base of it has been changed, we now are doing this in Garry's Mod 9 and coding it in Lua. I hope you will still follow this mod till the end.

Well we have been working hard and Vegnadragon, our modeler has done some excellent work in the past few days. So I'm happy to post them here.
Also an update on the soundtrack is coming soon, so look for it here. Oh and the tripod model is close to being finished.
Thats about all the update we have now...enjoy!

Why is this mod dead, its was amasinge models!!!
You should make it so the tripod has shields, and if u have people in it with u, they can control those little arms that pick people up, and u can switch modes, like how its a camera, that arm thing to pick people up, or how its a needle that takes blood from dead bodys, also, like some guy said, add a shield to it, make the 3 lights on it VERY bright, and when the arms pick up people, it puts them in that cage at the back of it, and also have the driver be able to pull out/ put back in, the Heat Ray thing (thing that shoots the heat ray), and one LAST thing, Make the mod from dead to live and healthy, or basically BRING IT BACK, PLEASE
i was like you once desperate for this game now all the mods are dead i had to live with it and so you are going to have to unless we work together.
