Seven Temples is a mod for Starcraft 2 that features teams of warring factions in a world of mythology and science fiction. Each faction follows its own gods and heroes and gains their favor and support by claiming new areas with temples. The gods are characterized by specific elements or aspects that define their followers' army compositions, technology and abilities. Once completed, temples summon forces unique to the areas they occupy. For example, capturing a human town will summon a certain type of human fighters while capturing ruins will summon creatures that inhabit that area. As players build more temples they also recruit stronger units and heroes at their capital. Limited mineral deposits and hidden caches are also available to build defensive or production structures and train additional units.

You can download the alpha version below:

I am desperately in need of testers, replays and any other kind of feedback. It is very difficult to get a game going with the current battle.net system.

The game is best played with all seven players but it may do well with 4 or 5 also. If you enjoyed games like Middle Earth or RISK for the original Starcraft you should give Seven Temples a try. At the moment it is just a highly modified map with custom tech trees, units, triggers and heroes but in the future I would like to keep expanding on it and get custom art if possible.

I had the same problem. Lots of people tell you they like the mod, but few are willing to actually help test.

It should be on the customs list for the North American servers as "War of Seven Temples" but I added a download from Moddb and Nibbits also.

Im just wondering is this going to be a full conversion of the game, or just custom maps? Tracking either way, seems interesting.

For now it is a custom map with custom units, triggers, and some 2d art. I would like new art such as models for buildings and units or at least terrain textures and new skins to start with but I am not an artist and am not familiar with how to get them in-game.

If I find someone to help me out or to contract to pay for some art assets I will go that route if there is enough interest. For now the first order of business is releasing a finished product with some good gameplay and getting enough people to play it, not attempting to create some gargantuan total conversion that will never release.

There is a beta release you can download from battle.net if you do a search for "War of Seven Temples". I am working on a news post now to share the status of the mod.
