The Unofficial Patch is not really a mod, but while the default basic patch only fixes bugs, the optional plus enhancements restore a lot of hidden content, including new quests and new maps!

Can someone please explain what these are when installing:

- Plus upgrades (Tweaks, Restorations)
- Basic Sheet Music
- Basic Gangrel Warform
- Various Extras (Walkthrough, Transcripts)
- SDK and Guides (I assume these are the editors and mod tools?)
- Shaders and Mods (what mods?)

- Plus upgrades tweak gameplay a bit like fixing the broken stealth system and also restore many things like two maps, weapons, quest and more! Check out the readme for details!
- Basic Sheet Music and Basic Gangrel Warform turn these two things back to the original version because people asked for it.
- Various Extras contain the walktrhough and transcrips for the radio shows and similar.
- SDK and Guides are what you assume, the modding tools!
- Shaders and mods contain the SweetFX and ENBSeries render mods which improve the look of the game and small mods like Free View Weapons and normal Malkavian font.

Awesome, thanks. Installed and ready to go! Has been a while since I last played and looking forward to seeing some of the changes. One more question: If I wanted to add my own music to the game (i.e replace the existing tracks) what's the best way to do this? Is there a script that handles what music to play or do I just copy over the music in the licenced folder and name them the same? For example I always wanted "In the Shadows" by The Rasmus to play over the end credits...not sure why, seems to fit rather well.

The easiest way would be to just replace and rename the music files. But be careful, this may crash the game because some media players, e.g. the WMP, attaches DRM infos to the mp3 files which Bloodlines can't handle.

I did not. And I reinstalled the game multiple times then installed the patch again so even if somehow accidently taht happened it should've been fixed? Thank you I will try to change the dll Im using then. Hopefully that'll fix it

I tried using all other three different .dll files but it crashes with each one sadly :( Is there anything else at all you know of that could help? If not that's alright. I will just have to lump it in with the other games that I can't play 'til I get my new computer.

Have you checked the known issues at the end of the readme? Like Intel graphic cards can't run it without tinkering. If you have the Steam version you might visit the community there, they have a lot of tips...

Oh my god! It worked! Here's what I did: I don't have the steam version but, I ran steam as Admin and added Vampire as a shortcut in it. and at the end I put -window -console -dxlevel 80 then I copied all dlls from bin to main folder, and im using the vampire.dll.steam instead of the default one. I think that's everything! I hope this helps anyone else who has this problem. And thank you so much for your support and hard work! You're seriously awesome.

Exactly what AmericanCrime said: "AN essential Bloodlines patch/mod. It fixes almost everything inherently wrong with the vanilla game and aims to enhance the experience as well by restoring content. Highly Recommended!!!!!" This is the TRUE patch for any loyal fan of the game. There is absolutely no reason to not use this patch over any other patch, that claims to be, 'official'. All the mods for the game, use this patch as their foundation & regularly update to work alongside this masterpiece…
