The Unofficial Patch is not really a mod, but while the default basic patch only fixes bugs, the optional plus patch restores a lot of hidden content, including new quests and new maps!

Get it from (Germany), (Canada) or (France).

This time the setup has been changed, so now the patch will install itself into a subfolder of the main game directory called Unofficial_Patch and you need to start the game either via the desktop icon or start menu entry or manually using the classic Source mod -game parameter. That way several mods can easily be installed parallel on one vanilla game version! Thanks for this go to Behar, who not only created the Game Mod Loader but included all previous dll fixes into it as well!

The patch also includes two new maps, the Malkavian Maze and the Warrens Shortcut. Special thanks go to Psycho-A for the continuous improvement of the Bloodline SDK which made creating maps possible in the first place. Thanks also go to EntenSchreck who supplied me raw drafts of both maps which I finished in Hammer, to Psycho-A and atrblizzard for optimizing them in several ways and the two older new maps too, and last not least to No_Mercy, who showed no mercy at all discussing each minor detail in all of the new levels that could be improved ;)! And as always to my beta-testers...

Kudos and thanks for all your hard work sir! Question, is there anyway to add "just" a bloodtimer ( as an option perhaps ), to your patch? Similar to Camarilla, or The Final nights utilizes. I'm just wanting to use your patch, only, but I do indeed miss that one thing about makes things so much more interesting when you actually have a real need for blood. If not...well...was just wondering and had to ask.

Again, thanks Wesp!

Hmm, read somewhere you can add the bloodtimer to a vanilla "patched" game...not sure how to do this though. Have to do some more research.

I wrote the above, before seeing your comment. :(

It would be possible but to me this is too much a gameplay change to be included in something still calling itself a patch. You could do it yourself though if you want. The patch uses a idle function that is called regularily and you would need to add the blood loss to that...

How would I go about doing this Wesp? I'm not modding illiterate when it comes to installing and using mods, but not at all sure how to add something like this.

If you want, you can send me a PM, if such is inappropriate here on this page. In the mean time, I'll try and figure it out....*fingers crossed*

Again, many thanks!

Fist of all Thank you for all your hard work. As soon as I heard 9.3 was released I gave it another go but I run into a gamebreaking bug. in a toreador character, after finishing the Dead Ex quest (this is giving Isaac the tape and watching it together) Isaac does not give me the Snuff is Enough quest! so I cannot continue. Ive started from another earlier save but its not working, I also tried getting the second tape and still Isaac wont accept the tape part 2 or give me the new quest. Im all out of ideas, do you know what could it be?

I have no idea, as this is a main quest bug, thousands of other players would have stumbled onto it if it were common. Did you continue an old save from before 9.3? Did you use the shortcut the patch creates to play the game?

yes. new computer, clean new game and patch install. just like before I only used the shortcut created by the patch to play the game. I guess all its left is to reinstall everything, I really want to try this amazing new patch :D

Hm, can you tell me exactly what Isaac says to you after you give him the tape and watch the video?

yeah. after handing him the tape, watching the video, he goes back to the same dialogue "you don't have it do you?" and the only answer is "no, but I will be back when i get it"

Can you open the console and check for the value of G.Isaac_Movie just by typing it in (case sensitive)? Do you have another Python version installed or the 2.7.2 update?

Exactly what AmericanCrime said: "AN essential Bloodlines patch/mod. It fixes almost everything inherently wrong with the vanilla game and aims to enhance the experience as well by restoring content. Highly Recommended!!!!!" This is the TRUE patch for any loyal fan of the game. There is absolutely no reason to not use this patch over any other patch, that claims to be, 'official'. All the mods for the game, use this patch as their foundation & regularly update to work alongside this masterpiece…
