After our departure from modDB more than half a year ago the development of Vikingr has continued, with the versions 0.93 and 0.95 being released on the taleworlds forums. At this point version 0.98 is finished, with many changes to the cavalry system, equipment and class structure.

The Rus and Norman cavalry can no longer ride straight into enemy formations anymore, as the impact threatens not only the infantry, with as few as three hits being lethal, but also contains the risk of throwing the rider himself out of the saddle.
With this "heavy cavalry" playing style getting more risky there is a new powerful weapon added to the horsemans arsenal. The throwing lances are now the riders main weapon, supplied by fellow infantry.

When I saw this post I was like: "Why didn't I know anything about this?". Then I checked your news and saw the post about the departing with MY commet at the bottom saying: "I'll forget this mod if you don't update it here." Guess I was right.
