Vietnam Mod for Call of Duty: World at War

I have the crappy german version, digged it out just for this mod and it doesn't work. I can't even start a server because the freaking Nam Maps don't even show up.

I wasted my life time on this failure for 3 hours.

Whenever you play War with bots, the game crashes. Oddly, though, the first time I played, the game performed flawlessly. Then agian, I had all the patches individually installes, as well as the v1.2 Full.Any tips?

How do you add new primary weapons to the classes? I've gotten everything else... just not the primary ones. I wanted to add a BAR to the Assualt class, because I want to be as historically accurate as possible. The U.S. army did use the BAR at the time. I like how you gave the Vietcong World War II-era Soviet weapons, which is very accurate, unlike most most other games. The Soviets gave the NVA and the Vietcong weapons like the PPSH and the Mosin Nagant, for reasons I can't quite remember. I learned this in Arts and Humanities class. We were trying to guess the origins of some pictures. We got to the picture in question. It looked like a Japanese or Chinese picture. The teacher said at some point it was Vietnamese. I took a closer look at the picture, and I noticed a PPSH being held by one of the guys in the picture. I pointed that out to the teacher (who use to teach about the Cold War) that the picture was specifically North Vietnamese and it came from the 20th century. We proceeded into a lecture about what weapons the Soviets gave to the North Vietnamese, and, well, here we are right now. This mod is great. It'll go perfectly along side Battlefield Vietnam, once it ships in.

Great mod but how can i turn off the bleed out feature? its good but annoying thanks.

Every time I try to launch it through the short cut, it crashes. It pops up a big black screen another window called "CODWAW Console," And I then I have to use the danm task manager. Maybe it's because I have a copy from Steam or something.

I figured it out a solution !!!!

1. Install mod...only need 1.2 CLIENT files and 1.3 CLIENT patch.

2. In the mod folder there is a subfolder called "configs".
go inside it and edit pezbot.cfg as you like it.
The relevant part of my configuration is:

set nam_pezbots_enable "1"
set nam_pezbots "20"
set nam_pezbots_allies "10"
set nam_pezbots_axis "10"
set nam_pezbots_skill "1.0"
set nam_pezbots_playstyle "2"
set nam_pezbots_xpcheat "1"
set nam_pezbots_roundCount "2"
set nam_pezbots_grenadepickup "1"
set nam_pezbots_chatter "1"

Skill 1.0 is kinda of aimbot :))
Grenade behaviour can be 0
total number of bots and specific number of bots for each team can be different from above.
read instructions in file....
xpcheat can be 0
roundcount and playstyle must be always 2, AFAIK.

3. go back to main folder of the mod and edit file server.cfg
remove the "//" from last two lines so they can read as this:

wait
exec configs/pezbot.cfg

4. final step....edit the multiplayer shortcut that you use to launch the multiplayer of CoDWaW
so that it reads as this:

"C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty - World at War\CoDWaWmp.exe" +set fs_game "mods/mp_vietnam" +exec server.cfg

....and BINGO !!!!

Launch game via shortcut, start your own "MP" game, not forgetting to disable PB and DEDICATED Server and your bots will Spawn right away not needing even any kind of console command !!!

....and YEEEEESSS, i will integrate all this in my program so you won't need to make any manual configs and simply launch this OUTSTANDING Mod with PeZBOTs out of the box :D

OK, sometihng is wrong here or i'm not getting sometihng....

Launched mod via shortcut

so far so good.

I started a game with PB off and Dedicated off.

Opened console ....

made command:
/ svr_pezbots 12

....and the game says that command is UNKNOWN !!!!

Notice that just to make sure, after this failure to recognize the pezbot command, i also tested regular instalation of PezBOT in vannila WaW and it works flawless !!!!

Is something missing ?!? do i need trhe server files of this mod also to get pezbot ?!?

i dowload 1.2 and 1.3client files,and i start the game .but ican not add pezbot,how can i addd it??
