Vietcry is released now, discover the rice fields, jungles and more in our Vietnam mod. Instead of just using the Crysis typical health auto-regeneration, Flow groover imported the classical medikits and armorpaks. Small tests have proven that this wasn't a bad idea. For us, it was especially difficult to get used to the turn, the player will no longer be invisible at will, and the health bar is no longer recharging automatically. nice looking effect, but is this some kind of "art" or real ingame effect for something special ?

It´s edited with "PaintDotNet" i like this kind of comic-style but unfortunately it isnt an ingame effect.

if you would like to use it ingame : there should be a refract shader which you can use :)

no, i dont mean changing the engine renderer. if you open the material editor, you can use shader for materials. some of those shaders have exact this refraction effect which you show on this shot. but to be honestly: i also think that such effect over the whole game, all the time, would be worse. but for some short cutscenes or drug effects...

Der Effekt ist natürlich als Textur verwendbar aber für einzelne Cutscenes oder solche Effekte wäre das nicht möglich weil die Engine dafür nicht ausgelegt ist sowas nur kurzfristig zu ändern, und im Flowgraph gehts leider nicht.

because i hate it when (for example) russians write in cyrillic letters here *g*
it would be "easy" possible to add such a effect temporary.
the easiest way would be to add a fullscreen cgf in front of the cam with a alpha texture and the desired effect shader. the problem is only to keep that thing in front of the actual cam.
i can give you the lua script code for if you intrested in :)
