Update on the progress of the mod (14/4/17):
Currently the only major feature left for 1.06 is US-Soviet joint projects which will take some time for me to complete as I will be much busier due to life from now on. However as since 1.05 there has been a multitude of features that was added to the mod, I would now recommend that you use the GitHub version which is already substantially different from 1.05.

Installation Instructions:
Copy CWE and CWE.mod from the CWE.zip file to the mod directory of your Victoria 2 Programs File.
CWE requires Victoria 2 Heart of Darkness Version 3.04

The overall game flow for the complete CWE is to have a gradual escalation in the challenges a country has to face. From the Cold War era to the distant future, the threats will go from being between states to between states and non-state actors and then finally between humanity and the environment. 1.06 will strive to fill up the gap in the middle game by introducing non-state actors eg. terrorists and global movements to make all nations more vulnerable to the Global Movements and make interstate cooperation even more vital.

While the Moddb file will give you big changes between versions, you may still feel that you wish to follow the mod more closely so I have made a Github Repository with the mod where you can download the most up to date Dev version of the mod. However as it may be updated frequently, you may have to download the lastest Github version multiple times for small commits like bug fixes etc but what you will get will be the most updated Development version of CWE.
Notice:
Some people have asked whether not being able to justify war is a bug. It is not. The ability to justify war is tied to ruling party war policy and world tension levels and your war progress. So unless you fulfil at least one of those conditions then war justification will be possible.
I have noticed one thing, that Hungary should be a republic in 1946.
It should start as a kingdom. The kingdom of Hungary lasted until 1st February 1946 and the game starts on the 1st of January 1946.
On paper it was but there were no head of state so maybe an event should change this... :)
Ok, I will make an event to convert it into a republic in CWE 1.06.
Hey Bazsik, I have managed to add in the Hungarian republic event in the new version of CWE 1.05. So now the hunagrian kingdom will transition into a republic in 1946. I've made sure that the kingdom and the republic have the correct flags. Hope you enjoy!

Can you edit the 1946 General Election event? I can't :P - Just change the 'populist factor' from 0.2 to 0.5.
And, in the 1992 start, add an event that makes poor strata 30% more populist and middle strata 10% more populist, without another option, because the Justicialist Party can't win without it. This event is only for the 1992 start date, but I don't know if its possible. :/

Pretty severe UN spam when you're at war (the events to accept a peace). For some reason accepting peace with one country via UN event clears all your wars - wars that country is involved in and wars they're not. So you have to decline them, and they pop up almost every day.
It's the one that gives infamy and prestige if you refuse.
Unfortunately it is impossible to really program who you will peace out with so I set it such that if you accept the UN peace request, your nation will immediately cease fighting. It would be quite illogical for the UN to just push for peace with one nation at war with you and not the other nation who is also at war with you anyway. Each country that requests UN intervention without being vetoed will fire the UN peace event with a mean_time_to_happen of 2 months so they won't fire it again until 2 months later. In your case you may be having many nations at war with you so although the event only fires once every 2 months of so per nation, the other nations will have their peace events so you will receive more of these events in less than 2 months.
How can I change a nation's regime?
I'm playing with communist italy, I'm in the soviet block but I'm still a democracy.
If your ruling party is socialist or communist and you are a democracy, in the soviet sphere, your government will be accepted by the USSR and they will not require a regime change. However if your ruling party by any chance changes into non socialist or communist one while still in the Soviet sphere, they will then request regime change.

It's still there. You need to have a jingoist ruling party to be able to justify acquire state.

I think that Turkey should be a Great Power in the scenario of 1992 instead of India. Because Turkey plays an important role in its region and India is rather a secondary power. Turkey has its own sphere of influence and also it influences the regions surrounding it.

Hey, it's going alright, there has been a lot of bug fixing in the latest GitHub version of the mod. Thanks for the bug report, I will fix it.
I am unsure if it's fixed in the Github version, but EU doesn't gain the cultures of the states that join the EU (ex: France joins then French+their cultures as accepted) as accepted nor moved the capital city to Brussel. Also, I seemed to reach a bug in which I suddenly drop from on average 75,000 born or immigrated a day to dropping suddenly down to -65,000+ and the game attempting to balance it correctly causing a CTD every time. I think it's because there's nearly 4 billion pops around 2020 in my game. (EU+China+India)
Thanks for the feedback. The superstates don't gain the culture of the states that it has consumed, rather they slowly assimilate the pops of the new states into the primary superstate culture to simulate the fragility of such a union. This has been implemented in the latest GitHub update.
Unfortunately I don't know what causes the crash this is something I've never heard of before.
Can you increase the rate of assimilation for the European pop similar to the French decision in PDM in which they lose their accepted cultures, but gain a high assimilation rate (still take decade or more to get a sizeable population). Sadly, I can't play the mod at a certain point. It keep crashing on June 10, 2020.

West Berlin should be released as an independence city up until the German reunification. This is true as West Berlin was an independence state controlled by West Germany with a single rail line moving in and out of the city.
I don't think it could be called an independent state as Berlin was de facto administered by West Germany and de jure controlled by the Allied occupation authority. Berlin being administered by west Germany means that it is part of the west German government so it should be owned by west Germany.
Can you add a "settlements" decision or something like that to Israel to make geographical Palestine a non-colonial state? It really helps to have more than one factory when you have to support 200k troops.
The colonial Israeli states at the start of 1992 is due to a bug. It has been fixed as of the latest GitHub version.
