I will also not pull the mod, and will keep it on the net since any takedowns would be without merit. This mod aims at modifying Dawn of War 2 Retribution to portray combat in a more lore-accurate manner. Prepare to find Space Marines as powerful as the books depict them, ork hordes in their hundreds, and dozens of Guard tanks shelling into an incoming tyranid horde!
Description
1.6 full release Install the mod into your main Dow II retribution folder. Readme file included with Credits and instructions. Run either with Astartes.bat, or go to your Steam, go to Retribution, go to Properties, set launch options as "-modname Astartes" ,without the ""s. I recommend setting graphics to Ultra high before installing or mod may crash on space marines. Races , tactics, and units: Space marines heroes all have a separate race attached. Chapter commander is Adeptus Astartes, unlocking the contemporary 40k Space marines. Legion commander is Legiones Astartes, unlocking the 30k era late Great Crusade Space marines. Grey Knights commander is Daemonhunters, unlocking the Grey Knights. IG heroes are the same: Cadian commander unlocks the standard IG. Krieg commander unlocks the Krieg IG. Not suppressible, but fire slower if more powefully with their lasguns. Tau commander: Tau race, similar a bit to IG. Very weak in melee, but good at range with plasma weapons.

As of now, the installer had been updated with a few tiny bugfixes. The Techmarine's Legion mines are now fixed as well as the Possessed tooltips.
You need to redownload and reinstall if you downloaded before this to get these effects.
I followed the instruction yet it crashed. I've unzip it to the main folder and set the terrain to ultra yet and also place the set launch -modname Astarte yet nothing. I even tried to max all setting to see but no luck.
Please redownload and reinstall. You need textures on ultra, not terrain, and its -modname Astartes
hello i was able to play SM in Ultra as required, but my laptop can only afford low settings, i really wanted to play the daemonhunters (SM) but not in ultra texture since it lags and i fell like my laptop will explode. can you fix this please ty for the hard work.
