I have replaced the water splash with a "steam" effect. This looks rather cool and may not be too noticeable in the screenshots. In-game, it is a neat effect. A bit weird with Frostfall thinking all water is cold, but maybe someone can make a submod can go in and change that. This is because with the disaster of Morrowind and everything else, the waters have heated up. However ...the wasteland of Skyrim is still a very cold, harsh place. Even though the waters are warm, everything is very cold. I have also added more variety of textures around Whiterun. They still repeat, but that is because of how the textures are...sorry about that. They look a lot better, though. I also replaced (some) coastal areas with obsidian. And if you look far out, you can see giant obsidian mountains in the distance out in the ocean that have risen up. I also replaced (some) aspen trees with mushrooms. Other trees around there are mutated as well, with fungus growing on them and changing them.

It turns Skyrim into a horror, fantasy wasteland. I hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do. :)

The release of Skyrim Wasteland Overhaul makes this the first apocalypse/horror fantasy mod for Skyrim.

More alien horrors of SkyrimMore alien horrors of Skyrim

Taken over a little under 70 hours of creating, over a period of a month this is what the mod has come to be. The most annoying part was the LOD...ahhh!! :P

More alien horrors of SkyrimMore alien horrors of Skyrim

This is of course more than just a wasteland themed mod...a lot more work will be put into this. On top of that, wasteland may not be the most accurate word...but it describes a lot. There is a lot of new and alien life to Skyrim now. :) And later more will be added.

I hope you all enjoy the work that has been put into this. :)

I was having a blast in Skyrim, until I heard the background music in Whiterun. After hearing it a couple of times, it gave me such a bad case of Morrowind-itis, I had to try the game again with the MW Overhaul mod collection installed. And it's as gorgeous as I'd hoped.(Wish they'd filled more of the chests, but no biggie)

Then I decided I'd go back and finish Oblivion, because waaay back when it first came out, my PC at the time had a GPU so lame it couldn't handle the "Protect a certain NPC" fight near the end, even with everything turned to the minimum graphics levels, and I'd played almost all the game with the graphics at medium or worse. I haven't even bothered with Oblivion mods yet, because seeing the game on this 1440p monitor is still eye-candy, at least to me. I'll get the overhaul mods for Oblivion soon, but I'm presently having a blast in the Shivering Isles.

With which Texture pack does it work ? With Tamriel Reloaded the roads are mesed up and the Tundra texture with this veine is just repeating over and over again. And i have some things you could might add:
-Bonemold armor for Bandits etc (for people with Dragonborn DLC)
-more Dunmer NPCs
-Maybe Ash rain. The black Mountain is still erupting so that would make some sense

What is wrong with the road? It should have road mixed with ash.

Just install this over any texture pack used. But, it may change the appearance a bit since I didn't change everything.

For now do fw xx032336 1. Do help solstheim and replace xx with first two numbers for solstheim. Do actually need Dragonborn for this.

I will think on your suggestions. Thanks. :)

when you do "help solstheim"...look through the console list to find "Solstheim" and it should be (for a bad example) 0503x399 or whatever. The first two (05) is what you use. It depends where on the load order Dragonborn is what the first two numbers are. So, actually just knowing where Dragonborn is would be enough and would have been easier to describe.

It also requires Dragonborn, which is only thing required for that to work. The mod itself does not, though.

Ok i fixed it after writing the comment "duh"
Fun fact: My number where 05 ^^
It looks great. Really cool work.
I dont want to hate MODDb but if you want more people to download your mod you should upload it to the nexus or post your mod in a big TES Forum

I normally use Nexus Mod Manager for my Skyrim mods. Is this compatible? (If not, will a version eventually be going up on Skyrim Nexus or Steam Workshop?)

I will be uploading to Steam workshop at some point. Doing slight tweaks (with the ENB) and some fixing before that happens, though.

So what is this just a ENB? I don't see anything but a mod that adds one type of new gloomy weather.

Its a texture overhaul. Many textures and foliage are changed. The lighting is an optional part of it.

The roads and sky got all broke. I don't have any texture mods that would conflict I think, but I might be wrong.
