Hi,
We havn't posted anything here in along time as we kinda got bored off sources net-working system and ruined this whole project for us.
Anyway we went into the indie devolopment now. Our new title "Evolution" is the sequel to "Varions" backstory. We have huge documents and planning a lot better this time around.
We have recently got a full new team off 7 talented members including composer, coder and concept artists. We won't be posting anymore updates on here anymore now but will be posting on our Moddb page later this year.
Check out our temp site: E-volution.weebly.com
We have done a lot of work on the project already. Also thanks everyone for downloading the modification giving us all the comments it really pushed us to make this next project so much better. We have had just over 3,000 downloads from moddb and various mirrors. Also had 50,000 hits on our moddb page so we are really pleased with that result.
Thanks for viewing.
indie, is cool, ill make sure to be tracking u on there as well. :)
Again.
Don't say Source ruined your project, because it was your fault. Source is considered the best engine to mod, since its modular feature. That your coders don't like it, or work better with an other, is another thing.
Source is good engine for modding but it's totally not for certain people. We didn't enjoy using it very much so we went indie as we have a brand new devolopment team with 6 new members and some new coders and concept artists. We felt going indie was better for us as we can concentrate on features we want instead of trying to get around sources limitations (poly counts, limited interface features and things. Big mods do well with it but we didn't want to spend years making something that we don't get any money for so decided to go and sell our next product as we all have lives and working full-time on a mod is waste of time for us.
We made some bad choices with Varion but hope to succeed with next product with more flexibilty in engine and also have some really fun ideas.
