Those weapons have all new real ballistic enviroment (RBE), fixed hud components and sounds by myself, all the tweak files were changed by me also for weapons and projectiles, I can assure you have never saw a ballistic system as this before. And their release were authorized by the proprietary Ponyssaurus himself! All the content in the mod is exclusive and made by me and the weapons models will be credit to its proprietary and it's authorized also. You still don't knowing how to keep your mouth shut. u sux we all know that, and when we are going to see your amazing Gulf of Oman? 6 months waiting for that, and 3dMax lightmap sux in this game btw, wanna see you got it all right for 15 maps, all I can see is too much talking.

That was really rude and for no reason, man.

He's just demonstrating the mod's visuals, he never said that the "coprighted BF4" weapon will show up in the release. This mod isn't about ripping off content from other games but about making BF2's graphics more... up-to-date.

EDIT: Okay, maybe he is going to use it which made this whole comment totally useless... lol

I wouldn't call it rude. I am a concerned BF2 Community member that wants to see actual user created content... not ripped BF4 copyrighted stuff stolen and published. And yes, he has already released these models on the download section of this mod. Just take a look.

The lightmaps, well I am almost halfway done. I started with it in 2015. Heck, I even have made some for the day versions of the Special Forces night maps:

And how does this suck? It is realistic and the further the shadows are from the source object, the blurrier it gets. But unfortunately they aren't 4k like yours yet.

The first Oman pictures I've saw from you wasn't right, they were too sharp even for a really bright day, those last ones, they are better but.. I can't see that much of a difference for an improved BF one, at least for the work it gives to get it all right, a simple stair become a headache is either this or doing a lot of new stuff that nobody did as add 2K HD terrain textures, all new cinematic 4K 24 frames effects, all new smaller HD Hud, New ReShade, new HD water (4 types) and the whole new HD atmosphere with HD Sky, clouds and sunflares for all maps. If that isn't enough user created content for you I don't know what else can be.

I don't know why you did get jealous just cause I found a better and much faster way to remove the jagginess in the lightmaps, scattering + post processing works great and do improve them a lot in relation to original ones and yep the atlas are in 4K. Have you at least tried last version of the mod before being so hostile everytime?

You keep basing your comments in the first release of my mod which I did only the tweaks, vegetation and new map arts, but still I honestly haven't seen anything with better graphic than that, in any other released mod (except for the one who copy/paste them unauthorized)... I see that you took a lot of time working on lightmaps whish you good luck when you start to work on terrain, sky, clouds, water, Hud, effects, balanced weapons, kits, etc. and all the other stuff for your mod, and I bet with you again that you have never ssen graphics as you will in release 3.0. What you wanna keep some other guys weapons all to your self? I didn't know that EA was proprietary from Colt also.

For me anything that has been modified and it's better after that,count as a mod, specially if the guy who did the hard work bringing them, gave you authorization. Just cause they look like doesn't mean they are exactly the same, if that is the case we will all be processed by wolfenstein 3d now which used a luger and FPS first or HL...(including EA)

Jealousy is the last thing that I am... all of this boils down to the fact that porting is something that is looked down upon by most modders due to the grey area it falls in. When porting from a game like BF Play4Free, then it is fine since they are free and abandonware.

Many of the things that you mentioned are things that I have had in my mod that has been in development since 2015. Others like the HD effects and sky were done by Forgotten Hope 2 and PR.

So I am not intimidated by your mod in any way, and nor do I want to compete really. I want to see mods that are legitimate and that don't overstate features. For instance the lightmaps... I just wish you can just call them default resolution lightmaps and not 4k 3ds max rendered, because both of us know that they aren't. And besides, rendering these lightmaps are really not difficult and headache giving. Setting up the scene in Max takes time, but it is really easy overall. The only problem is getting the terrain sorted out for rendering.

My advice to you is to drop BF3 and BF4 content, and instead adopt Play4Free content or content from other non-commercial sources.

As a sidenote, I was also a developer for Alpha Project and did a lot of the customization stuff, from coding to weapon variation and balancing... so I know all about those things that you mention. The reason why my mod is basically dead in terms of updates, is because I am hard at work fixing and implementing and coding the animations for my mod. My animator has done new animations for all the weapons plus more. Finishing this and all the new sound effect takes priority.

lastly, I have to take my hat off to you for making the water texture. That is really unique to your mod. I have never seen any mod with this. I hope we can see more of this! ^^

Ok, you love to poke don't you? First we are definitely not talking about the same kind of stuff here. I'm not talking about making 1x hd BF3 style sunflare (that for me looks like ENB), 1x hd sky and throw a random "HD" grass on it. Those are 15 maps with genuine HD textures and atmosphere uniques and that maintain BF2 style (nothing copied from other games as we most see out there). I'm pretty sure no mod had something like that before.

Second you probably haven't tried the clouds yet cause I also haven't seen anything close to it in BF2 engine, or the HD lightning. Those are all uniques and user created.

For last, I'm talking about a complete new Hud interface with all HD elements not only a meme atlas + HD fonts (with helps a lot also).

Also never said anything about Max light maps, I said they are 4k and that they are improved which are both true =*

So you basically saying that all mods should be removed from here, cause every single one of them will have some sort of closed source code or "commercial" content, cause they are all based in commercial games. Basically this whole site should change it's name from MODB to Steam and sell only unreleased full games.

Yes I see that kind of argument is what's good for the community so we still, with vehicles in one mod, weapons in other, remastered maps,atmosphere, hud and effects in another... that's great! and you call it community. Are you also Processing Demon_from_pripyat for using BF4 models for vehicles? lol

I agree with the original content part, a mod can't be a bad assembly of other people work without any credit or original content on it. As I said before that's very far from this case where all the modifications made are original and exclusive.

Seriously now, why don't you go annoy the guy from another mod which really didn't do anything by himself, only copy/paste of other people works unauthorized, there is a lot of those out there and again, it's really not the case here.Instead you prefer to annoy someone who did a lot of hard work for the community in areas nobody did before? I must point out that custom (BF4) weapons shall not be released with mod in order to avoid all the possible issues. But it could be linked to mod as optional/alternative addon.

Releasing such content on your own (in a mod) can be tricky.

So there shouldn't be any mod with vanilla weapons, maps, engine, everything else also. Bf4 style Huds are also strictly forbidden, sorry sgt but that doesn't make any sense for me, all the FPS games use the same kind of weapons they are all based on each other, it has been all about AK, M4 and colt pistols for ages lots of games with almost identical models, why remake something that's good and have been done before? Do you really think using BF4 style weapons affects EA in some sort of way? Cause if it does it's not about the weapons right? cause if they are the same style, why would someone want to use them in a much older game? If it because of the better BF2 game play, physics and etc, I just feel sorry for EA for walking 12 years in the opposite way of True BF fans. Why is Armored Kill allowed to use BF3 and BF4 style vehicles also, or NAW or almost every mod out there? If we have to make every single stuff in our mod that wouldn't be a MOD anymore, that would be a complete new game, and that include all the coding and library..

If it's about the ballistic, I just hope they take that as a lesson on how to make a proper ballistic, but first they need to get rid of that engine and get one with true 3D physics as Refractor was.

And those are not BF4 weapons, nothing there it's the same from the EA weapons, textures are different, lods, animations, sights, tweaks, sounds, ballistic, projectiles, everything has been made, the model look similar? Of course, they are supposed to be the same real weapons in a same type of game and they were based on BF4 ones cause that's popular, so what? every cell phone seems to have the same model for me also...

Ok let's use paper weapons that shoots watermelons or get back to crappy BF2 ones and wait more 12 yrs so Mr. Obscure can deliver us his true HD content from the ground with his own weapons, objects,models, animations,textures,hud interface, effects,sounds,environment,etc and of course own engine and coding, but that has the same game play that BF2 did.

I'm only doing all this because I loved this game and I'm trying to make it feel exactly as it was but with much more realistic and immersive graphics and gameplay, that's it! Waited too long for someone to do it.
