Vampire Slayer 2.0 - this is a sequel of a popular mod for Max Payne 2. We decided to rethink al the old ideas and now we present absolutely new mod. Now Vampire Slayer is not just "antivampire mod". We decided to combine ideas of many movies\books\comics, that was about vampires and overall dark forces. Underworld, Constantine, Van Hellsing etc. Absolutely all player's weapons are new. All guns are high quality detailed and animated + there are absolutely new types of weapons. We mean new for all MP2 mods. First of all this is magic. Ignite, blow up, kill your enemies. Magic is a separate weapon with completely different magic for different tactical situations: fireball is needed for removing enemies from long distances, cross magic is good at destroing close foes. All enemy's skins will be changed(stay tuned) according to main theme of the mod - yes, the ones who will be vaporized by you is the vampires...
Description
This is a beta of the mod, where you can play as Dark Wizard, Slayer, Steel Samurai and 2 versions of Blade on MP2 levels or 12 completely new ones. Unpack the archive to your game folder, launch the game and select VampireSlayer_2_0_beta in the mod selection menu. To play you need to select the character from the menu and the level. To use special moves of a character you need to select a "Special moves" weapon. To make a special move you need to press movement buttons to one of 8 directions and press shootdodge button, also there are wallmoves (you need to jump forward on the wall for it), melee moves (select melee weapon and press melee attack button) and some characters have crouch moves (press crouch) . In the archive you can also find the script (story of the mod) and an unfinished version of the prologue video. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the mod: Hitman, Andersen, all others who helped, all the actors who actually recorded their voice, i'm sorry i didn't use them

how do you play as the other characters i can only play slayer :(
Go to Vampire slayer -> Play as ... and then choose the level. You cannot select characters for single player, but you can use pageup or pagedown buttons if you have -developerkeys in the shortcut
Trying that, but it ain't working. You might be busy, but could you at least make a hotfix? There are massive issues here.
If you mean, you can only choose "Slayer" in the main menu, it's because tou DIDN'T finished the original game, you must finish the original game for unlocking other options.
Or... You can get a 100% save.

Well, first of all it is playable, yes... But then again it has alot of bugs hence it beeing in a beta state. The mod itself is good but bugs need fixing.

I have a problem, I can't choose the carachter and after the first level (when max meet Bravura) the game start again from the beginning after loading

I thought the development of the mod was stoped but apparently not !
I tested a lot of mods of Max Payne 2 and my best was Element of Style, but now it's totally Vampire Slayer 2.0 !!
I have tried for a while now and I have played actually only with the Dark Wizard and here is my opinion:
- The animation is perfect ! Except one when we jump/flying with AutoGlock, it's like a little buggy, but i think you actually noticed it and work on it.
- I really appreciated that there are many new animations of attacks! It's very cool !
- With the news maps you made, and news NPCs, monsters it's like i'm playing a new game !! The monsters animations is very cool !
I probably going to appreciated the others characters and maps :)
Oh btw ! When we are selecting guns, you should wear something that allows us to distinguish what is currently selected weapon, personnaly I struggled to know what weapon I selected ... Maybe you could, for example, increase the brightness of the weapon selected
And finally, if you need someone to do test and find bugs, you can tell me, I'll be happy to help you, but i dont have a powerfull computer...

-As Dark Wizard, the Thunder Attack doesn't affect enemy... Same for the Cross Flamme
-As Blade without sword, when we dont move... He dancing ? xD
-In Cemetery map : No enemy... *sad* :(
-More "Battle maps" would be great, like the default maps of max payne 2, enemy spawn undefinetly
-The game performance is pretty good on my old computer

Music without slowmotion please !!! >.<
When we're playing samourai, we need a cool music, and you know that: Samourai is fast, so if we need to activate slowmotion for having music... *sigh*

play through that bug without selecting the mod, then select the mod again and load the save

the mod you tried to download is not completed,yet its an internet error that's why the folder that you've downloaded is incomplete your internet is not fast enough to download the mod file.
(try installing idm in your pc your problem is solved).....
lazer pls fix the lightning move from dark wizard doesn't do anything.
and no enemies are poping out in the cemetery level pls fix all of it...

May I suggest coming back to this mod and working out some of these kinks or at least finishing the last two levels? Gosh, i wish I knew how to code and mod, I'd be tinkering with mods like this one. So much potential in it too.
