Pleast note - Valar Morghulis now runs on the Alexander add-on.
Installation instructions:
Step 1
To install the mod, you first need to unzip the file and place the "got" folder directly inside your Rome - Total War folder.
It should be something like:
C:/Program Files(x86 or x64)/The Creative Assembly/Rome - Total War
Step 2
------------------------------------
- Make a copy of your Rome - Total War - Alexander add on desktop shortcut
- Right-click on it
- Select "Properties"
- At the end of the box that says "path" or "target", type -mod:got -nm
- This should go after the quotes in that box with a space, like so:
...\RomeTW-ALX.exe" -mod:got -nm
You should now be able to double-click the shortcut and run the game.
For Steam Users

Complete Step 1 as above, putting got in the relevant Steam folder:
It should be something like:
C:/Program Files(x86 or x64)/Steam/steamapps/common/Alexander
Then to play the mod from the Steam Library:
Right click on RTW - Alexander in the steam library.
Click 'Properties'
Click 'Set Launch Options...'
type into the box '-mod:got -nm'
And then run RTW - Alexander. To run regular RTW - Alexander again delete the '-mod:got -nm' command again.
Is that bug of the Night's Watch and House Tully attack the Starks fixed?
Well it's not really a bug that's just how rtw works. I chose not to use forced alliances in the script because it caused more problems with the functionality of the game than it solved. They didn't attack that often in the playtesting I did so in the spirit of rtw I left them to the chaos of total war. The Bolton's give the Watch someone new to focus on and usually the Tully's get wiped out before they can do anything. Sorry it's not what you wanted though.
well it's close enough. If i choose the Lannisters it's correct, because they are always ate war with almost everyone x)

Couldn't you make the Night's Watch a "superfaction" and attach the Riverlands and the North to that? The Fourth Age mod has done something similar in their campaign. It'll mean that TNW will be passive, but also that all those three factions will stay friendly to each other.
I forgot to mention that you shouldn't play as a superfaction (since it gives you too many advantages, like no rebellions, etc.), so I'd probably make a separate "provincial campaign" for playing the Night's Watch. There you could possibly make the Riverlands superfaction instead.
Excuse me kind sir/ ma'am...I went into the Rome Alexander folder and there is no mod folder. What folder do I place it in and how do install???
I have it now all it does is crash when i try to start a campaign. it says Error: Filename doesn't exist: got/data/models_unit/MTW_unit_spearmen.cas PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Is say failed to read censored word dictionary file: data//chat.filter.san
Make sure you have put the 'got' file in the right place. It should be in the same place as RomeTW-ALX.exe
You didn't specify that it needed to be in the 'Alexander' folder, only inside the RomeTW one. I think people who have it on Steam, get RomeAlex' as a separate game and it makes a separate folder for it. I did as you said and the error I got first time, went away.

Will the white walkers eventually become a emergent faction, That would give the wildlings time to try to ravage the north instead of being slaughtered straight away?
Unfortunately I can't because only bi.exe supports emergent factions whereas only Alex.exe supports custom portraits.
Any chance you can create a custom campaign without the White Walkers to fix it

Well no I put it directly in the folder and put the -mod:got -nm and it exits afterwards im running on rome total war only

I just started a campaign with White Walkers and it crashed on the 10th turn without doing anything special, just pressing the button. I don't know where's the problem. I've it through steam and I've done the installation as meant, does anybody else has this problem??

I went into the Alexander files and there is no mod folder. Where do i place it? When I download mods for medieval 2 I can just put it in the mods folder and rename it to a campaign. Help please
I am hearing from the forums that this doesn't work on steam: Which is what i use. Could you maybe try to fix this???
Love the mod, only issue I'm having is that siege battles are now non existent because of how easy the equipment goes down, only thing I can use is sap points which I don't like and for some maps i.e. mereen it won't even let me make sap points so the only thing I can do is starve the settlement out :/
why cant i save my game?
I'm getting a C2D every couple turns. I can't seem to find the reason. I'm playing on Steam & playing as Dorne if that makes any difference.

Having crash issues, every so often after I end turn the game freezes and crashes. :(
Update: Crashes every time I end turn, currently playing as House Stark. The game freezes when one of the computer factions are making its moves. :(

I try to start the game on my library but after it shows the screen of the three eyed raven and it says all men must die the game closes down and it doesnt give me an error code or anything. Did I do something wrong?

Haven't been playing this mod for months now but when i did ,i did find some stuff not fun at it,
1-first of all the crashes at random time ...but mainly just about 20 to 25 turns after the game start
2-the dragons and unsullied CAN NOT be retrained...rather bad..( i DID FIX it myselfe btw )
3-targaryens never expand..most of the time they don't even conquer the 2 next rebel cities next to astapor...
4-i did tried all the factions on grand campain and at 90% of the time the Martells would conquer all the westeros map ...
5-in essos there was never a dominant faction but ..mainly Bravos and Volantis would fight over for supremacy..
6-i have seen some players complain for money ..but Money was never a problem for me ...
7- i always played in VH/VH ...so this is what i remember so far...
these are some stuff that the mod owner should try to improve...
PS..THERE IS A MISSING PORT* IN ERYE region ..
Not being able to retrain the dragons and the unsullied makes sense though.
