The attack on the Normandy coast in 1944 was the largest naval to land attack in human history. The men behind this attack were the V-corps. The first men on the beach. Relive the battle from their eyes. Walk, in their shoes...

Reload System

Bring new reality to reloading. When reloading your character will look down to their ammo pouch remove a clip and procede to load it. If you empty a magazine halfway you will also lose those bullets in that mag. However anyone can come by and and take the magazine for themselves. For the actual reload sequence if you press "r" once then your character will procede to load at a standard speed. If you press "r" faster you will attempt to reload at a faster pace, however if you press it to fast then you may drop or jam the weapons. This will cause you to have to reload it again. If you are hurt you will reload slow and will not be able to speed up the reload.

It sounds nice, but in reality your really not supposed to look down at your ammo pouch when you reload.
In this short moment, your enemy could move, advance, run, or aiming to get a perfect shot on you without you really knowing.

Its odd, because looking down to see your ammo sounds more realistic, but in the scheme of things, it could hurt game-play and result in many players getting killed while they fumble around for ammo.

The rest of it sounds good though, and I would like to see that implemented.

Ill be posting more info soon, but its not like you're going to be looking at your pouch throughout the whole reload. Its just a glance down and not even really that far look down.

Well thats the idea, but if I'm the enemy and I know the guy can't fire back while hes reloading, AND won't be able to see me, I'm going to take advantage of that situation.

i dont like that if you press r too fast you could jam, that could be a problem for a a lot of ppl, maybe there could be a meter to indacte, how many times your should press r, and u go past a certain point in the meter, it will jam then. all the rest sounds cool though.

On that note, you use the word 'magazine' and the word 'clip' like they are the same thing.

The M1 Garand "Clip" is very different than a magazine.

I really like WW2, but aren't their enough WW2 mods out there? There's so many other wars that people haven't covered enough like the Korean War,Vietnam, etc.

a big one that i want to see is a WW1 mod, but this is cool, cause none has really covered D-Day which i am very surpirused at.

nah, I think a WW1 mod would be boring, cause standing in a trench all day is boring, though a Vietnam mod would be cool. especially on an engine like the Cryengine

Ladies Gentlemen. I will have a talk with bob about the reloading system and we will discus alternatives. So please be patient. Plus this is not the final discussion. Even I thought it was kinda stupid but we really never had a good discussion about it.

I like the idea of having to jostle the magazines wildly to load quickly, Not sure if it would get annoying in game. It will definitely be unique, nice idea.

It's a nice idea, but it could affect gameplay vastly, you'd have to do some vigorous testing to see if it works. Like I say, nice idea.
