This is a full, real SDK for the classic Unreal Tournament with totally new features, methods and tools improving the Unreal Engine 1 in a wide range. Next to tons of new visual features it improves overall physics (has it's own build-in Physics Engine "Thelema Physics" or short "tPhys"), has loads of gameplay and AI enhancements, a new render (currently OpenGL only) to deal with hardcoded features and bundled tools. However this is really not the first attempt of improving an old engine. The initial spark for this SDK came from the concept of the "DoomsDay Engine" and the content of this Pack that was archived before it's public announcement when it's elderly features were used for the Mod "Lost Secrets of Na Pali".

Bad news: I saw posts on UT99.org a few weeks ago saying that this project has been canned and the official section for this was recently removed from the site. I still haven't seen any confirmation from Shadow yet, but it looks like this project may very well have been cancelled.

thanks, that project was absolutely enormous. imagine what re-texturing all the weapons alone would take for time, let alone the 40 other things. also it looks like the nali project years ago was never finished. if they deleted the forum that's a pretty good indicator. i'm going to continue modding for UT99, but down the road may end of up moving towards ut3 for the technology and having to mod it into something fun to play. out of the box it sucks.

He posted this on June 18th on UT99.org: "Nothing new. I have no time. It slowly faded into No-Time-State. I'll continue work during Summer-Vacations, if I should be at home, don't expect that I'm going to code at my girlfriends PC !" This is going to take longer than what was initially posted, but I'm sure he hasn't given up on the project.

well, geez i hope this is still happening. am new to modding (1 month) but have already accomplished quite a bit with mapping, weather effects, and now coding too and would love to have something like this available. in fact, after recently running into some walls with audio sounds for maps etc., this update would fix everything. the lighting, textures and physics upgrades would also be of enormous help, this is actually something i dreamed would happen. so is this a yayy or neigh sort of thing? haven't seen any responses from the creator.
