A really nice mod, lasted about 5 hours. Some of the maps are really astonishing, while others look really bare bone and not quite finished, still the layout is good just laking polish. Speaking of which a most of the maps need a lot of optimization. As for storytelling if I hadn't red what's in the profile of the mod I don't think I caught any hints towards the story in the mod itself , which isn't far from saying that it can be classified as a shooting gallery. There are some classical hl1 and hl2 puzzles, and hidden goods. That brings me to fact that you could attempt to kill yourself whit health and batteries, ammunition availability was also pretty high. I spent most of the time basically tripping in health and suit batteries. The driving sections were OK, nothing that much special.
Lighting was nice except for the night parts wayy to bluish something that might have looked OK in HL1, maybe but here it looks like a bad disco day....or night :)
Overall the mod is good providing nice quick fights, some well played ambushes, an OK driving section(with some nice jumps, and a narrow container filled alley which requires some skillful maneuvering) and some well known puzzles.
Recently played it, here's what I think:
It is definitely worth a download!
The fights are one of the best and the scripted scenes are really awesome.
This is the best thing of the mod.
The only things that I missed were a decent story, that your brother gets lost was just not enough, and the second thing I missed were more details.
Some levels looked quite good but failed at some parts, also I got some heavy lags at the beginning of some levels.
Anyway, everyone who likes nice fights and can also play a mod which is graphically wise not as good looking as crizis shouldn't hesitate and download that thing.
8/10
This mod is awesome. The name was right. I really want to play the sequel now. It should be called the expected conclusiion. I recomend in your free tim,e setting a tutorial on how to do some of the things in that. Like the moving gate. Overall I loved it.
I just managed to get through this mod. I started out a few weeks back, but after the first few levels I got so bored that I didn't want to play it.
Today I didn't have anything at all to do, so I decided to continue. I was a bit more impressed with the middle section, but at the end the mod got boring again.
Positive:
1. You obviously know a lot about HL2 mapping, and how to use things like the HL2car, different enemies etc, triggers etc.
2. A few scenes were very good like "The long fall where the floor breaks and you continue into ......"
Negative:
1. The maps lack detail and often have seriously boring areas. Also they are not believable. Example: Near the end the player runs around in a house-like-area with living rooms etc. But all rooms only have two doors and lead into each other. No one builds a house like that.
2. Often the player meets a door that won't open. But suddenly after killing some combine, the door has mysteriously been unlocked.
3. I had several problems in the later levels with doors that would not open. I had to use noclip. Also, one of the "air shafts" that needs to be used to continue was too low for the player to fit into.
4. Some levels had seriously bad performance due to way too many physics objects in them.
Since this mod is a part of the HL2 universe (same weapons, same enemies) the only difference from the normal HL2 is the new maps and the story. This makes the competition really hard.
You should focus a lot more on fewer, but better, maps. And introduce a story of some sort. This mod didn't have any story at all which sort of made the entire thing feel extremely pointless and boring.
Also.. you should probably delete the old page for the mod: Moddb.com
little questen WTH is the installer in Turkish?
same here did you find a solution
Oh no, more hl2. Been there, done that many times, and in many mods now.
Time to swap those hl2 weapons with new ones. It isn't much fun to see all the hl2 textures 10 years in a row, in 100 different mods, over and over again =)
You may want to look into quietus. Not a single original model. Unfortunately its a demo right now but its extremely well made and very creepy. Search on moddb and find it :) its a mod for hl2.
Sure, it is not the MOTY (no story, narrowed spaces etc...) but overall I have enjoyed this mod, some of the fights have been really cool.
While I did enjoy this in parts, the driving sections felt like it should have been taken on foot, the mapping was not built in those areas for driving very well. And you seemed to really give the player medkits at every turn, It seemed like you could have enough medkits to run from Half-life 1 all the way to half-life 2 episode 2 without loosing anything below 50 HP points.
You may want to create bigger spaces for driving and increase the difficulty, because it was a cakewalk.
But regardless of these bad traits, it was fun to play in many areas.
