Riot Shields are Randomized Bodygroups, just like the Helmets or Armor.
Expect combat to be more tactical.
so will there be more like bosses in the full mod like in the prolog you had to fight the heli so yeah will there be a boss like guy
There will be guys with shields that will end up being more powerful because you will have to face them from the sides, that's for sure.
Not exactly. They have some areas exposed if you look carefully its the top of the head, Legs and feet.
Please for the love of gaming dont make this thing bullet proof to any AP weapons like the M4 or AK -_- at best plastic composite shield like this can only stop smaller caliber rounds ranging from .22 - 9x19mm
4.6x30mm, 5.7x28mm, 6.8mm, 5.56x45mm, 5.45x39mm, 7.62x39mm & 7.62x51mm can all easily penetrate this type of shield.
A heavier version of this guy with a steel composite shield similar to the one from CS for example would be a better choice for a heavy mini boss that can resist heavy large caliber weapons.
These guys would be better off as light CQB troops in my opinion.
Agreed. the use of Ballistics Shields is Recomended for a Firefight with bigger caliber weapons. These are only to avoid Molotov Cocktails, rocks, and, sometimes, small caliber weaponry.
Read the description! This riot shield CANT resist bullets but the ballistic shield CAN resist bullets...
Riot shield=meelee combat

Can the player use Riot/Ballistic shields?
They can be picked up as physic objects, and they are carried "vertically" by default
It does provide for a "physic object" shield.
But it is not an actual "Item" the player can use.
one of the gasmasked soldiers that entered the parking lot used a shield like that in the prologue. But for some reason when he's killed the shield will just vanish in thin air like a combine who got hit by a AR2 ball.
