Let me give You idea about Graviton Guns for squads:
Maybe in case of Tactical squads, only sergeants would be able to equip it, whereas in case of Sterguard squads every member (or most) could get one.
Also, Graviton Guns for Predators - hell yeah.
For Devastators - not so much.

Why not just give graviton guns and cannons to the same units that the codex gives them to?

Also i'm wondering if they do more damage on the heavier armour types?

If I only saw that earilier oh boy xD. But hold on, 5k for a gun D:? My grav gun has 884 polies, if it only had a better texture it would be epic xD.

well the cannon itself is super poly-efficient: has only 600 polygons (even with the cables) :)
the 5k is the entire scene, where majority comes from the high-poly model (way too detailed for RTS; used for creating the ambient occlusion).
and the texture...well it´s a 512x512, you can´t get much detail into that but imo it fits the distance from which units are usually viewed... but both of that can be edited, as Fedor did for his mod.

Each tac squad should only be able to equip say 1-2 grav guns while Sternguard up to 4 or 6. This could actually depend on the chapter doctrine you choose.

Grav-guns should be particularly effective against heavily armored infantry such as terminators and super heavies/titans. Against lightly armored troops or vehicles, not so much. Nonetheless they do have the capability (in the fluff) to slow usually fast troops down by manipulating the gravity around the specific target.

If grav cannons are implemented only 2 should be equipped per dev squad, while the sternguard can equip 3.

Grav pistols could essentially just be a improvement/upgrade over the plasma pistol which you can research in the armory.

Wouldn't it make more sense for the predator to have graviton cannon sponsons? If it's for balance purposes i won't mind,

Fun fact: In the Imperial armor volume 2 book (from page 61-62) tech-priests claim that one of the more exotic weapons of the predator was a form of graviton cannon. If it's any different from the heavy grav cannon remains unknown.

Today I was able to somewhat finalize my ideas on the Graviton Gun for the Space Marine tactical squad. I think that I'll add the Graviton Gun next for the Sterngard as well. THe difference will be most likely that the Sterngard can equip more Graviton Guns than the ordinary tac squad.

Anyways have a nice day and post your thoughs and ideas! Should I make a heavy-gravitron version as well maybe for Devastators? MAybe possible tank mounts such as Predator with Graviton GUns? YOU DECIDE!
