Mod Progress
Going well. We have 1 major thing to do (Will take the longest time):
- Finish Inquisition Daemonhunters faction.
We have 3 moderate things to accomplish (Moderate amount of time):
- Continuation of bug hunting and play testing
Then release. Don't ask when.

Lord Cylarne (creator of UA mod speaks): Well. :D Looks like I wanna do a 200 subscriber special!! This... is unexpected, awesome, motivating, I feel blessed, and I mostly want to thank YOU, each and every single person for watching my videos, and especially for those who subscribed!
I mean here I was less than two weeks ago working my butt off trying to achieve just 100, and it took me a month to do. I was expecting... not this and it is remarkable. I was expecting to get 200 subs in two months, 300 in three months, etc. but I come on today and I AM FULL OF JOY!
Thank you guys for enjoying (at least some) of my content. I dunno what to post for my 200 subs special because I thought I'd not get there this month so I didn't really put any thought into it, but, I'll think of something...
But yeah anyway, I'll shutup now. Again thanks for 200 subs!
THB release and what it is:
THB stands for "The Hunt Begins". It is a grand release of 2015, not a patch, and the version number will be much different than 1.74, we're talking around version 1.8. The Hunt Begins is all about the Inquisition Daemonhunt versus the evil and twisted Chaos Daemons! All factions will receive new content, and there will be so much added to it, that took us over a year (almost) to achieve.
We know we said that THB would not take too long to get released, but fortunately, it is another 1.73 release as it is BIG, and even includes two new factions to play! All races were further polished and made nicely, plus what THB will bring is pretty much finished skirmish and is the last and final skirmish overhaul. It is official.
Version 1.73 was supposed to be skirmish overhaul and final, but then over time, we realized the flaws of most factions, and so THB revamps them to an all new and fun style. We know you will like all factions, at least better than 1.73, and we hope to continue the campaign after this! :D So THB release, full skirmish overhaul with two new factions. FUN! NExt grand release afterwords? Campaign and stuff. We'll see how it goes.
Keep in mind THB grand release will not be perfect. There will be bugs to fix afterwords like 1.73 release, and we hope to continuously patch it and patch it just like 1.73 versions. Only this time, you guys will have everything, so whatever we offer, you guys get immediately! :D - A clarification of what THB is.
In Other News:
Do not discuss or ask for release dates (even though it might be coming this month of May):
Here is why:
- If a promised release date is given and does not come out, the hype will be for nothing.
- Time Zones. If a date was to be scheduled on say, the 19th, and it is the 20th in your area, this will make confusion on the other side of the planet.
- We have no idea when the mod will be released. Mods are time consuming, and large projects like this will take time to polish and make a wonderful release out of.
- We are remaking and implementing two fully functional new factions from scratch!!!
- We are revamping the skirmish gameplay completely in the THB Grand Release.
- We are revamping the AI completely in the THB Grand Release.
- Mods take time to make. Less people demanding, the more the creator is inspired to work on the mod.
- Keep these 7 reasons in mind the next time you want to ask for release dates...

Sounds about right. The force is strong but the Warp rapes the force.
I cant see any video, whats the news, just that things will take awhile and not to ask? :P
If they don't find more bugs to catch, they may release thb in may, but since this isn't 100% sure we're still not allowed to ask.

REALLY hoping the new Noise Marines voices are at least as good as the current ones. They're just so damn fun right now.
The VOs will indeed be improved. :) And they are honestly my first choice also...
Inqusition Demonhunt is not a Faction from Scratch! "Only" apocalysed. ;)
And now I'm very excited about the release(date). The same as all the time since the last update.
Apparently in what relates to gameplay they were made from scratch rather than built over the idh mod gameplay.
Well, there is SOME gameplay, like the very first tier and some upgrades and especially the "Exterminatus" and Mega Melta abilities, but other than that, yeah the entire faction plays and feels differently. All thanks to daemonhunters mod!
I'll just say it now, you guys must be incredibly proud of what you're made! Even today, the Dawn of War series is being modded and enjoyed by SO many people, and I'm glad to see such a talented and skilled team working on what I might consider one of the best mods EVER for this series.

I got one of my friends hooked on Dawn of War Soulstorm and the Ultimate Apocalypse mod. Over the weekend was his first time really playing the Dawn of War game in general and in one of the first games we played against each other, I use the Space Marines while he used the Sister of Battle and I nuked his base. He was not pleased. But I was.

Dude. So far you've commented exclusively to whine about the content the UA mod team works on for free not being released faster.
Why not do something useful about it instead of just sitting there complaining and waiting for things to happen?

Yep, because I know as soon as you release "polished" version of the game it will be buggy, with people whining left and right.
So I am whining only because you are prolonging the release which is bound to have many faults, saying you want it 100% complete when it just can't be. Sooner you release it the sooner we can find those faults and and with OUR help. As you have said it already-you do it for free and there are only few of you, while there are thousands of us ready to play it and test every single thing in it.

Also, I started writing anything at all like I said in earlier comment- you said one thing in January(It is May now) and now it's completely something else. And for what reasons? Inquisition being too hard... wow, not like only hard core fans and pretty damn good players are still playing this game. Please......
Oh, are you an expert at computer programming and graphics design? You do realize the incredible amount of time it takes to get everything perfect to make ******** like you happy? If you are not going to appreciate the time and effort these people put into these mods to make you happy then just shut up and leave.
ModDB needs a function to prevent users from downloading their content if the creator so chooses, and I'd like to see you on the blacklist for Ultimate Apocalypse.
/begin slightly educated rant/ That guy, dare37, clearly has never worked on a mod before. Good heavens. You have to make sure that your textures made work fine, and texture paths aren't screwy, fine tune damage and health values and such, restart the game multiple times just to even see how well those values work, it's a pain! And even with dev tools for doing such things it is a pain! I don't know much about soulstorm modding, but I can't imagine it's all that much different than anything else. Seriously. Things take effort, and you don't want something not having textures or broken sounds that are going to be complete and utter-ear rape for 'testers' as they so arrogantly refer to themselves, when most of the time they just want to get at the mod sooner. /end slightly educated rant/
I appreciate that it's difficult work, but the communication and hype around the release is just confusing. I've been waiting for a major release since last August...when the Daemonhunters were removed from releases. All releases since then have mainly been bug fixes.
I love the great work in the mod...as most do...but the expectation is for many that it would be released by now. I'm disappointed...and not hating.
Don't listen to this guys, u are just doing great...u are doing a great work for us for free...u are spending your free time for us for free so i'm already happy to this, and the mode is very nice to play so far, and surely with THB it will be even better!

I know it's a stupid question but maybe someone might have the same problem.....why i can't do scrrenshot anymore? i haven't anymore the screenshot folder in the main folder so i created one by myslef, but screenshot are not being saved anymore :(

Curious,will we need fresh copy of soulstorm b4 adding this mod? Should we uninstall previous mods in order for it to not bug out or should we install mods already out in order for THB to work???
Me and around four to five friends play Ultimate Apocalypse almost nightly. We've gotten hours of fun out of it and have been looking forward to THB for a long time now. Whatever you come out with Cylarne, I've no doubt it'll continue to entertain us for many more hours to come! Thanks for all your work!
