Quite correct and thank you for posting this response ahead of time.
So what has been happening behind the scenes was well... nothing this passed August because like a week before that I have started to finally get a chance to develop my own game which has now been worked on for 20+ days now and the basicness of it is almost finished. So I finally got some time to see progress here on UA mod ^^. Other than that, I now have been accepted (begged) into a RL job (yay) that started August 1st. It is quite enjoyable! But unfortunately for the UA mod fans and my team, it eats up my time on the UA mod and I am sorry.
So to sum up, job + game + sleep = less and less time for UA mod. So here is what I am going to do...
This coming time of next week when I have off, I am going to very quickly do up a final, final patch because the Grand Release is going to be delayed for a very, very long time. :S Bug fixes only, and I'd like to return the favor of my donators! So 1.62.65 is going to be released now instead of canceled, despite of that July vote. Things to do is not a lot, because we are at that stage of final fixes for the patches. Things that will be fixed will involve...
- Chaos Warhound statue fixed.
- Land Raider Prometheus pink box will be cured.
- Total Destruction wincondition fixed.
- DE Wracks will be removed. (sorry!)
- Titan and Relic unit caps will be removed and limits will be placed on each and every relic/titan. (sorry!)
- Some OP stats. fixed.
- Some balance changes.

Secondly I never made a promise that the GR is going to be released in the month of August, I said that it may be released in the month of August throughout my planning, but I never made a statement about it going to be released in August for 100% sure.
Thirdly, I wouldn't make a voucher on me running off with your money especially when I hadn't gotten any ever since 1.62.64, so not even in July, at least I have every opportunity I can get to work on this mod and finish it.
Fourthly I have a Real Life now, a really good one and now that I have that I really can't do many things anymore on this mod at a hasted pace. I already apologized for the inconvenience, can ye all do me a favor and praise me for finishing the Grand Release?

I would like to congratulate auel2667 on Mod db for making it to the Alpha Internal mod phase for working very hard and just being absolutely impressive with his buglists. Gambit approves, along with me, and now to further balance out the Grand Release, another tester has joined to cleanse the remaining bugs to oblivion!!!I also welcome deathwatch78 for officially making it to the team, the man is very talented in many ways of professional hex n' tex and artistic design. You have probably seen some of his gorgeous images on the Codex mod by boothy_p, well since the start of last month, deathwatch has helped us tons and now as of today, he proved himself NEEDED like auel2667 and he is now officially in the team!Congratulations to both auel2667 and deathwatch78, you both earned it!
The Ultimate Apocalypse 1.62.63 patch is ready to ship whenever the new unit the crowd voted for gets decided wisely by me and is in patch ready to ship. The patch should be released around maybe tomorrow or the third of July, latest the 5th if something extremely wrong happens, but I doubt that will happen. Otherwise, play hard, thank you very much for your votes, and thank you donators (Manny Sandoval and Corvin Biebach) for convincing me to make this patch in the first place!
So this patch, may/may not be the last patch before the Grand Release, not sure. But I hope you all will enjoy, thank you!
Thanks to two donators, the Ultimate Apocalypse 1.62.63 patch is all done and ready for release! Today was also Codex mod's release which I completely forgot about, but so I decided to spice up the pot a bit with a series of choices to include in the 1.62.63 patch by public votes! So the patch is not coming today, but it is ALL DONE and ready for public choosing!
Today, as the release is almost underway, I thought to include one more thing in the patch, a super secret new unit + the choice of...
- TWO new Apocalyptic maps.
- A new unit from our side.
- 2 new gameplay features from the Grand Release.
- Or finally a sneak peek movie of the Grand Release being shown in the Miscellaneous folder of your download.
One choice, only one. Because there may be more patches later depending on donations, and we shouldn't really give too much over a very good (yes this is a very good) patch. You can vote by saying what you want involved in either one of these choices below in this news or on the forums of our home page.
I will also be posting four comments related to the vote on this news, and I will be saying stuff like "+1 karma me for new maps" for example, and the most karma points earned + the total amount of votes said will be granted one of the above choices. Obviously if my comment was burried, I'm obviously not going to include that feature within the patch. ^^ So take your time and choose wisely, for the 1.62.63 patch is coming soon!

As most of you will already know, there is a private version of the Ultimate Apocalypse in the works - the Alpha mod project. That being said, this version includes content that far exceeds what most of us would expect.
And this HUGE endeavour needs HEAVY and SERIOUS testing - it is a task that requires a concrete TEAM of testers...
What it takes to apply for a playtester:
The task of playtesting UA is something that you should NOT tread lightly. While exciting, it is also taxing to playtest UA - especially the Grand Release. And at the current state of mod maturity, we require only good testers. Thus, you will definitely need:
1] Drive, Dignity and Discretion (the three Ds).
2] Skill. At his point, inadequate skill will stall (instead of accelerating) the project development, resulting in delaying its release.
3] Lots of Free Time. There are MANY things that require careful testing.
All community brothers out there, who consider yourselves worthy AND willing to HONESTLY assist our goal, please, do apply!
What you must do:
1] Playtest the current public version (1.62.62) and prepare a bugs list. The "optimum playtesting performance" would be to test every single race... In any case, the lengthier the bug list, the better chances to become a fellow playtester!!!
2] PM the buglist to me directly (Cylarne is TOO preoccupied performing his coding magic - so I will be at your service for the time being!)
3] Wait to be PMed back!!! (We have a testing chart to grade playtesters, so if your buglist is adequate... WELCOME TO THE TEAM!!!)

We respect the community and we want to provide a quality mod, brothers. This is our sincere intention. We would be happy if we all share the same intention! Guys, I have two more things to point out....
