This Tool was written by me to make your life with Mods in Dawn of War much more easier! In the current version 1.4 I've fixed alot of issues that the older versions had such as the Mod Merger crashing when overwriting files etc.
This Tool will currently do:
-Check all installed playable Mods by their .modules and check for their Required Mods
-Display if prerequisite Mods are installed or not
-Allow you to directly start the desired mod, once validated that everything is installed, directly via the Mod Manager
-Provide you with additional advanced start options such as skipping the intro movies, dev mode etc.
-Allow to directly start the unmodded Base Game (This will not undo LAA Patches)
-Immediately see if Soulstorm.exe and GraphicsConfig.exe is LAA patched or not.
-Merge Races mods together and greate large combiner mods quickly and easily. (Use at your own risk)
-No more problems with CTD's when installing new mods that require other mods to work which you were previously unaware of
This Tool will currently not do:
-Check for updates
-Check if Modversion is the most recent installed (Would require some additional data stored elsewhere)
-Install missing Mods for you (The tool will give you only a hint that a mod is missing)
INSTALLATION:
Drop the Executable file and the DoW Mod Manager Resources Folder into the same directory where the Soulstorm.exe is located (..\Steam\steamapps\common\Dawn of War Soulstorm\) be sure that you didn't rename this .exe in the first place.
It'd cause desyncs in Multiplayer anyway (Renaming the Soulstorm.exe not using this tool)
DEINSTALLATION:
Simply remove the two files since they don't override anything
PROTIP:
The tool will currently only manage the current folder it was dropped in. If you have multiple soulstorm installations drop the manager in EACH of them. For better access make a shortcut
to the .exe on your desktop to quickly access and start your game with any Mod you desire instantly.

This doesn't work on my computer right now.
Which OS are you on? Be sure to add an exception to your Antivirus as well since I've got reports of some Antivir programs messing with the Mod Manager.
This file isn't downloading as and .exe
It's an archive file such as .zip or .rar. You gonna need the 7zip program in order to extract that archive. You can get it from here 7-zip.org note that this program can also handle the most other archive types and is thus a very useful in itself. I very recommend getting this if you did not so already.
all i really need to know is how to download things and or if it is automatic.
The Mod Manager will only show you if Mods are either missing or installed. There's no backend behind it and thus will not automatically update/download anything for you, if that was your question.
Says i'm missing free ui - required mod#1 for chaos daemons and when i load the loading screen says dawn of war ultimate apocalypse edition but its just the normal game *i only tried with skirmish*
UA overwrites the loading screen and thus will always stay the same no matter what mod you gonna load.
You won't need FreeUI when you're playing UltimateApocalypse_THB since it has it already included! You would need that only if wanted to play the Chaos Daemons Mod WITHOUT UA.
Only take care of what the loaded Mods dialog says for the particular Mod you want to play. Multiple Mods don't stand in causal relationship to each other. Meaning that even if you're missing FreeUI for the Chaos Daemons mod you can still play UA nicely since both loadouts are independant.
May I ask you to upload the source VC2013 progect as you did with Mod Manager 1.1?
As you requested: Here is the Source Code for the latest Mod Manager Moddb.com have fun!
Thanks!
in your future update, can you make it compatible for 32bit PC's? it would be a great thing, and more fans would enjoy it :)
Actually I see no reason why it shouldn't work on 32 Bit machines so far, yet i've ssen that complaint a few times now. Which OS are you using? As the dotNET version that my Mod Manager uses may causes issues on older Windows versions such as WinXP.
Yes, it has issues on WinXP. Every time I open the application, it says "not compatible with 32bit" Guess because the OS is too old and the DoW Mod Manager was made recently. I have WinXP Service Pack 3, and I hope that sooner or later it will be compatible with WinXP. UA is a great mod for Soulstorm and one of my favorites, everything went perfect but this is an issue. Wish you the best :)
Can i get help i cant download the mod manager it downloads it but then when i click it it says do u want to run it in the store and the file is not transfered into the soulstorm file the 7exp file is downloaded and i downloaded all of the other thing the UA and The Tyranids mod And the LLAA patches
How do i merge mods together? I want to merge Ultimate Apocalypse The new Factions with an AI mod i have downloaded, base game AI sucks.
That's probably not going to work since UA has it's own customly tailored AI made by the Thudmeizer mod team which is very likely that he also made that AI Mod you downloaded if it is DowPro you speak of.
The Mod merge mostly works for merging independant race mods into each other so you can play them alltogether in one game.
it won't let me use the mod manager keeps saying cannot confirm compressed stream type
I installed free UI version 2.0, but the manager does not register the fact I installed it, not sure what the issue is.
Are you sure the respective .module file is place? As that's what the Mod Manager is looking for.
Solved it, just had to reinstall it
una pregunta me dice cuando abro el DoW mod manager 1.4 que el soulstorm.exe:LAA y graphicsConfig.exe:LAA estan inactivos como los activo????
Apply the LAA patch Moddb.com to both the Soulstorm.exe and GraphicsConfig.exe and then restart the Mod Manager.
It said "DoW Mod Manager v1.4.exe is not valid Win32 Application". And im using Windows XP, what is this? not supported or what?
Ok, so I'm getting an error that causes me to be unable to use the manager at all.
Here is a transcription of what the error pop-op says:
Pop-up title ----> Microsoft .NET Framework
Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dawn of War Soulstorm\DoW Mod Manager Resources\Checkmark.png
Ok, so that's the transcript. It should be noted that despite this, I do indeed have the "checkmark" resource. I really have no idea what is going on here. If I click continue, I'm able to get to the manager, but keep getting this pop-op anyhtime I click on anything, making it impossible ot use.
What am I supposed to do?
There's a resource folder called "DoW Mod Manager Resources" which contains the icons. This folder must be on the same directory level as the "DoW Mod Manager.exe" file. Don't put the resource directory in a subdirectory.
So when for example your Mod Manager executable is in "..\Dawn of War - Soulstorm\DoW Mod Manager v1.4.exe" the resource folder must be there as well being "..\Dawn of War - Soulstorm\DoW Mod Manager Resources".
Hope that fixed your issue ^^.
Hi everyone,
This would be much nicer if it was compatible withe Dark Crusade!! Is there any chances that it will happen?
I have a concern for this mod. Why does my Graphics Config LAA say inactive.
You need to run the LAA patch manually for both soulstorm.exe AND graphicsconfig.exe and then both flags should be green once you restart the Mod Manager app.
Okay I found the graphicsconfig.exe in my game. Do I apply the LAA to it?
Never mind figured it out.
Hello. But what if i have Game of the year edition? there no soulstorm.exe
Hey boss, im trying to set up the ultimate apocalypse mod, and i might've just messed up and overlooked something since im pretty new to modding like this, and its saying that under Chaos_Daemons it says im missing the RequiredMod.1=FreeUI. Should I be concerned about this or I can run the game?
Ignore this if you want to play UA. To see if you can play a particular mod, select that particular Mod and see if all dependencies are met.
The entries in mod list don't stand in causal relationship to each other.
Whats the executable file?
For some reason the Mod Manager won't let me run Ultimate Apocalypse due to me apparently not having UltimateApocalypse_Tyranids even though i can see it in the game folder, and i have installed the Tyranids mod so i know its not that.
The Mod Manager scans for the .module files. So if the Tyranids.module does not exist it'll mark the mod as not installed. My guess would be that either the installer was corrupted or didn't install properly into your soulstorm directory.
Eventhough you may see the tyranid mod folder, the folder itself would be either empty or crucial files could be missing somewhere in the project.
A possible fix could be this:
1.Create a new folder somewhere
2.Redirect the Mod installer to let it install its contents into the newly made folder
3.Copy&Paste; the contents of that folder manually into your soulstorm directory.
Hope that helped ya!
I'm getting an error when I try to combine modded race using the mod merger. Says the process can't be completed because the program is being used by other sources, but I´m pretty sure nothing is actually using them. Any ideas?
Maybe you had a another instance running in the background that never terminated? Also try running with admin rights just to be sure you have the necessary file operation permissions.
what if i didn't get a .exe file but i got a notepad instead when i downloaded it?
It's an archive file. In order to unzip it you need the program 7zip 7-zip.org.

every time I try to run the exe I get a message that says "the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable" I have tried deleting, redownloading and reinstalling but it keeps coming up the same
Disregard it was the zip extractor I was using. I downloaded the actual 7-zip you linked above and it worked just fine.
Okay, having a serious issue trying to run Salcol's with the mod manager, it's telling me that Objective_Points_UA isn't installed, but the mod itself does not name itself that. It's objective_points_ss_ua. It works fine for THB but not for Salcol's So I can't run Salcol's at all currently.
