Greetings Mr.Mark,
My Research team finished safety tests of the new line of Designated Marksman Rifle with codename "BAR" with additional "KOMANDO" Grenade launcher module.
Weapon itself is quite robust design, which is crucial to handle newly designed .338 "Ripper" round. Projectile contains high density (mass increase compare to standard uranium depleted projectiles) extremly explosive solid, material. Problem of this compound is kinetic energy needed to initiate explosion. Explosion repetitiveness is achieved by increasing bullet total mass, even more. Projectile still has depleted uranium tip, causing both great penetration and internal violent burst with high velocity uranium fragments. If main soft target lacks the external armour plates, fragments could be lethal to other near unprotected targets.
Suprisingly Riot Shields could not stop the round, causing even more destructive effect to the welder.
Same scenario for heavily armoured victims, since uranium fragments and explosion shockwave is held inside, after penetration. Bullet high mass is compensated by huge amount of propellant,obviously causing great recoil. Total round weight is 4 time, the standard.
Please,equip your Marines with BAR-DMR units for further field testing. We also allowed you to withdraw 4 units of KOMANDO modules, which should be tested only on Delta Lab Firing Range- Tier 4 allowance.

You can start NEW GAME as UAC BAR-DMR OWNER playerclass- BAR-DMR + 2 mags.
Both BAR-DMR (Tier 2/second chapter of Doom.wad instead of minigun spawn with more than 50% possibility) and KOMANDO upgrade (Tier4- upgradespawner) will drop via dynamic progresion.
Unpatient doomers can use console for both...

Questions is it meant to use up so much ammo? & would you be against making a version that doesn't use up so much ammo?
I am not aginst this lighter ammo idea. Anyway I was massaged opposite on PB Discord. One guy said my DMR is OP. So you have few options:
-adapt to present - aim your shots , go trigger happy later,
-go console -> give ammo,
-go settings ingame-> gameplay options -> ammo -> double or infinite -
-install SLADE -> open BAR_DMR.pk3-> Decorate ->Weapons->Slot4->BARDMR.dec:
ctrl+f(serach)
TNT1 A 0 A_JumpIfInventory("NewClip",4,3)
4 is ammo multipler
Replace with
TNT1 A 0 A_JumpIfInventory("NewClip",2,3)
will eat as magnum
