This modification adds the Tyranid race, from the tabletop war-game Warhammer 40k from which Dawn of War was based on, to the game. The Tyranids are an alien race, threatening the imperium from the edge of the galaxy, living only to feast upon the flesh of their foes. They are a fearsome adversary, but an even better ally! That's why our mod allows you fight with and for the great Tyranid race, swarm the enemy with hundreds of hormagaunts, stamp on your foes with the huge carnifex and devour your opponent from within with the deadly lictor. We aim to show players of Dawn of War what the fantastic Tyranids are and attempt to keep as true to the feel of the race as possible.

So a lot of you are wanting to know the release date for 0.45.
Currently I can only make statements on the 0.45 release for Dark Crusade, as we've yet to begin tweaking for a Soulstorm release. However what I can say is easily summarised in a single word:
Tomorrow.
Hopefully that cheers some of you up.

It's been suggested that updating Dark Crusade to 1.2 will make it work properly, but I'm not entirely sure.
i have the same problem as gwerbret01, DC is fully patched up to 1.2, but when i try to join a lan game it says i have an incompatable version, even though both me and my mate downloaded all patches and "nid mod" at more or less the same time and have fully unlocked all races etc!! please any help would be appreciated :>
Any ideas of how to fix the incompatable game notice i recieve when i try to join or host a game? All installs are identical, and updated as needed. HEEEELP MEEEE

Hi my download worked but when i install the mod the tyranids dont come up on the race list any ideas PLEASE
You need to activate the mod in the game manager. If that doesn't work, you may need to install the 1.0 to 1.2 Dark Crusade update patch.
I'm not sure what I've done wrong but, I installed it for my Steam version of DC... and when I click the icon there's no differences, I can't select them as a race or anything.
In fact none of the race mods I've downloaded have shown up ingame.
I had same prob, i just updated to latest version of DC. Hope this helps
This is one hell of a mod,i love it! I have no arguments with this mod, i find it well balanced, the animations of the models are sweet, and have done the Tyranids a great justice in this mod! Cant wait for the SS release. Congrads on a work of art!
