This modification adds the Tyranid race, from the tabletop war-game Warhammer 40k from which Dawn of War was based on, to the game. The Tyranids are an alien race, threatening the imperium from the edge of the galaxy, living only to feast upon the flesh of their foes. They are a fearsome adversary, but an even better ally! That's why our mod allows you fight with and for the great Tyranid race, swarm the enemy with hundreds of hormagaunts, stamp on your foes with the huge carnifex and devour your opponent from within with the deadly lictor. We aim to show players of Dawn of War what the fantastic Tyranids are and attempt to keep as true to the feel of the race as possible.

Here is a story I thought of when I saw this pic:

We were headed for the position our commander had ordered us so we can ambush the Tyranid "Gaunts", when suddenly we felt heavy foot-steps under our feet. But we were starteld when one of our men said
"INCOMING!!!! Brodlord approching from the NW!!". Our troops, even our commander was startled when they saw a blood-red Broodlord punch a marine so hard he dropped his heavy bolter and went flying past the entire squad, ending up buried under the blood-stained snow.

The whole squad was so startled that they fierd without aiming. The commander was still staring at the dead marine until he heard a growl right in his ear, and turned around to see two human-blood-stained hands claping down on his face, diging it's claws into his hard skull. The Broodlord had feasted on his fleash, ignoring the gun-shots that had a hard time penatrating through it's hard body armor. When done, it sank it's sythe from it's cheast, and flinged the commander to the oppistate side of the dead marine. Upon seeing this, the surviving marines ran from the battle-field, failing orders of the Emporer, and the Impurium.
