This modification adds the Tyranid race, from the tabletop war-game Warhammer 40k from which Dawn of War was based on, to the game. The Tyranids are an alien race, threatening the imperium from the edge of the galaxy, living only to feast upon the flesh of their foes. They are a fearsome adversary, but an even better ally! That's why our mod allows you fight with and for the great Tyranid race, swarm the enemy with hundreds of hormagaunts, stamp on your foes with the huge carnifex and devour your opponent from within with the deadly lictor. We aim to show players of Dawn of War what the fantastic Tyranids are and attempt to keep as true to the feel of the race as possible.

Tyranids 401 Release -------------------- Bug fixes - The mod manager now works properly EVERY time. - The heroes mod now works properly with the tyranid race and no longer crashes the game upon upgrading to tier 2. Improvements - Davisbe's temporary Tyranid team pattern files and VenerableDread's temporary reclamation pool team pattern file have been included, these allow certain units to now be teamcolourable, these files haven't been made by the team and will be replaced in the next release so please don't comment on them :).

Does it work with dark crusade or spanish version?

When i go to play the game the tyranids are not in there

download V 0.4 then install it. Then Get V0.41 and patch that over the original. THen Open the shortcut that u put on the desktop when u installed 0.4
Also with the final version plz make proper abilities and units. Having a hive tyrant as an eldar Wraith lord is BORING

hey for all those who dl'ed and have a problem running this i think i found the problem. all you need to do is re-arrange some folders becouse the installer is screwed up and it should work. it installs them under dawn of war dark crusade in the main dark crusade folder. i guess it does this becouse of the combiner-mod i downloaded.(it makes some folders in the tyranids folder but becouse i didnt have the nid mod it just istalled the folders under tyranids so move all the folders in there and it should work! have fun killin
Hey everyone, sorry if this question HAS been answered I just cannot find a correct answer to fix my problem. I tried downloading the Tyranid MOD and took everyones advice about getting v.4 before v.401 etc etc and I still can't get it to work. Hello, i just donwloaded the tyranid mod to DoW and it works but only 2 out of the many types of tyranids show up as a tyranid th rest are dif types of units. How do i fix this problem?
Ok i'm a little stuck, i have installed v0.4 and that works fine, but i cant get this patch in the correct place. I have tried installing it in multiple places and still nothing, when i enter the game it still says v0.400. Can somebody please write the exact file directory? Thanks a lot in advance!

Your mod is GREAT!
Keep on working please we all love it! It shows that a game community is always better in programming than the original maker. I hope that V0.401 was the last there are some more bugs but it is one of the best mod for a strategic-game if ever seen.
