- Twisted Insurrection: Tiberian Dawn - Nod Victory -

The year is now 2037. The Tiberian World now stands with a very uncertain fate. The two most powerful and influential forces on the planet are trapped in a never ending dead lock of war and combat. Whilst the Global Defense Initiative has suffered many blows and military defeats, the faction itself still stands strong and has shown the world its amazing ability to endure harsh punishments and has recovered much lost ground. The Brotherhood of Nod has struggled and triumphed over its enemies, only for its victory to be short lived by the death of Kane the Messiah, causing an ever lasting deterioration through the Brotherhood and leading to defeats and chaos amongst the large faction. With the end of the First Tiberian War comes the dawn and age of a new, second Tiberian War, with new terrifying possibilities and potential. The fate of Earth lies dangerously unknown.

- What is Twisted Insurrection? -

Twisted Insurrection is a stand alone modification of Tiberian Sun, meaning you don't need to own Tiberian Sun to play. The mod features a completely new in-depth story-line which puts you in an alternate timeline where the Brotherhood of Nod were victorious during the first Tiberian War rather than GDI; After the Brotherhood used the Ion Cannon to destroy an irreplaceable monumental structure, the Global Defense initiative lost all UN support leaving them in total disarray. This is where our story begins.

Along with the complete overhaul and replacing of the original games graphics and having it's own all new soundtrack, Twisted Insurrection brings you all new units, infantry and naval forces to command as either The Brotherhood of Nod or the Global Defense Initiative in both singleplayer and multiplayer missions along with all new structures and base defenses to build as well! The mod also introduces the GloboTech corporation and contains all new campaigns for both GDI and Nod, plus some additional bonus challenge missions and several hidden maps so there is always plenty more to play. TI also features all new game-modes and over 100 multiplayer maps to play either online or in skirmish mode.

Do you have what it takes to drag the shattered Global Defense Initiative out of ruin? Or will you crush all who oppose the will of Kane and his Inner Circle? The choice is yours commander.

Hello everyone, happy new year and we hope you all enjoyed yourselves over the holidays! We're back to work in the real World as well as the modding World so progression has understandably slowed down over January, however, we have a new update to share with you today.

Version 0.4.6 (or the 'LAN Update') has been uploaded this morning and is now available to download via the Twisted Insurrection Client. This new update adds a heavily requested local area network (LAN) feature that allows players to have that option to play with their friends as well as the option to play over CNCNet.

The download is available immediately via the client. Simply boot up your Twisted Insurrection installation to download the new update. An updated version of the main download on this site will be uploaded shortly too for those of you that may have problems downloading updates via the client.

Thanks to our client developer Rampastring for the addition of this feature and special thanks to a group of donators for funding the development of this feature. Have fun, and please share any feedback you have with us, we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

Sorry for this - i have a problem with the first globotec mission - not the gameplay that was awesome - the intro - when you say you've moved some civilians to safer location, that means underground bunker, airlifted out etc, not clumped together underneath a cliff with only a low concrete wall and wooden gate, i think it would of been better to label them as refugees or inwaiting to be evaced, refugee idea would support the truck passing the first line of security - refugee transport - that was my only criticism, the gameplay was thrilling
Can I also plead you to make a globotec mission or challenge where a commando party investigates the infector city or a globotec secret laboratory, which filled with tiberium lifeforms, maybe even zombies >_< I think it work really well

Feedback is always appreciated, so don't hesitate to provide any. Thanks for your input. The mission is only a brief taster of what is to come in the future and shouldn't be considered as a final product.

i think i may be a noob but i feel like the mission is too sudden? is that the right word? they're swarming too soon and with primarily infantry units, flame throwers always burn up my troops and even take out my vehicles waaayyy too quickly, one flame tank took out 4 light tanks and a cople of flamthrowers took out my humvees, the range of the flame throwers are way too long for any form of early game counter with infantry is useless. I always play Nod when im serious with the game since they are much more useful than GDI. Please find a way to balance it out.

I pulled it out by using Exo-suits and medics, only barely, and even then I had to pull back to barracks at the end.

Indeed, Exo-suits outrange the flamers and are good at anti-vehicle. They're vulnerable to being mobbed by infantry though (such as Militants).

I don't want to sound smug - I had no trouble with this mission, normal difficulty and I only slowed it down at the very start temporarily, I had a team in the center to destroy the air attacks and held the original defences up - Guardians massacre infantry and the flamers just spread the damage amongst their men - their are a few "ridge lines" you can put ecosuits with medics behind and prioritise the flame tanks - they get preocupied with the turrets. I only got scared when I ran out of money and GDI turned up. I think the sudden attack and scale was good - specially considering NODs numerical supremacy in the story. Maybe the length of the assault was pushing it - but that can happen

First Globotech mission was awesome. Seemed that everything will be fine and dandy, and everything will be handled...

Cue Fear And Suspicion.

Glad so see a possible fully functioning third side!
Does the hack make the engine support just one more side or it now supports a lot more sides like YR with Ares does?

The engine supports pretty much an unlimited amount of sides as far as I know. For example, The Dawn of the Tiberium Age has 4 sides.

It's doubtful that TI will get more than 3 sides though, just because GDI, Nod and GloboTech take so much work already.

The progression of this mod is getting far better and more active than the development of Mental Omega.

A really stunnning mod for the new graphical power alone. What the team had to do to make Tiberian Sun comply with these new effects, I don't even want to know, because it most likely has to involve human sacrifice. Cities look like what was promised before the release of TS by Westwood and the Tiberium lifeforms are as strange and varied as they should have been, even outdoing Firestorm's alien feeling. A few times I thought the units needed more balancing, but overall, every unit feels like it…
