The year is now 2037. The Tiberian World now stands with a very uncertain fate. The two most powerful and influential forces on the planet are trapped in a never ending dead lock of war and combat. Whilst the Global Defense Initiative has suffered many blows and military defeats, the faction itself still stands strong and has shown the world its amazing ability to endure harsh punishments and has recovered much lost ground. The Brotherhood of Nod has struggled and triumphed over its enemies, only for its victory to be short lived by the death of Kane the Messiah, causing an ever lasting deterioration through the Brotherhood and leading to defeats and chaos amongst the large faction. With the end of the First Tiberian War comes the dawn and age of a new, second Tiberian War, with new terrifying possibilities and potential. The fate of Earth lies dangerously unknown.

- What is Twisted Insurrection? -

Twisted Insurrection is a stand alone modification of Tiberian Sun, meaning you don't need to own Tiberian Sun to play. The mod features a completely new in-depth story-line which puts you in an alternate timeline where the Brotherhood of Nod were victorious during the first Tiberian War rather than GDI; After the Brotherhood used the Ion Cannon to destroy an irreplaceable monumental structure, the Global Defense initiative lost all UN support leaving them in total disarray. This is where our story begins.

Along with the complete overhaul and replacing of the original games graphics and having it's own all new soundtrack, Twisted Insurrection brings you all new units, infantry and naval forces to command as either The Brotherhood of Nod or the Global Defense Initiative in both singleplayer and multiplayer missions along with all new structures and base defenses to build as well! The mod also introduces the GloboTech corporation and contains all new campaigns for both GDI and Nod, plus some additional bonus challenge missions and several hidden maps so there is always plenty more to play. TI also features all new game-modes and over 100 multiplayer maps to play either online or in skirmish mode.

Hello ladies and Gentlemen, today we would like to announce that after a few unexpected delays, we have now officially released the newest update for Twisted Insurrection, Version 0.39.1.

So, What's New In Version 0.39.1?

Twisted Insurrection 0.39.1 features a long list of changes and additions, some of the most notable changes are large alterations to the balance and functionality of a number of units in the game, mostly made based on the input from our fans and players. Here are some examples of some notable changes based on public input:

Nod Mission 16 and [8] The Finale have been modified greatly to vastly improve it's overall performance on a number of systems, it should now run lag-free for players on all kinds of operating systems and machines.

Cyborg Reapers have been entirely revised in terms of their weaponry, they still maintain the split-missile logic, but are more effective against ground targets and have been vastly improved for their role as an anti-aircraft Cyborg, their anti-aircraft weaponry is now faster and more effective than before, making them much more useful than they previously were. Speaking of Reapers, their new theme song, Reaper Raid, is also a part of the update!

Alarm Sounds from various units and structures have been completely erased due-to complaints that they were irritating after a while, which all of us on the TI Team came to agree with quite a long time ago, you will no longer have to listen to some annoying alarms whenever there are enemies within the vicinity of your base.

Many new Base Props have been added for our well-recieved Base Props mode, these include faction-specific light towers, light posts and banners. Currently in 0.39.1, only Nod are able to construct banners due-to us running out of time, but GDI versions will be included in our next update.

An annoying problem that caused the game to crash in some instances while playing the Ultimate Insurrection game-mode has also been fixed, this error was caused by too many units flooding the sidebar overwhelming the engine's limitations causing the game to result in internal errors. This has now been fixed by disabling some of the Tech Units available in the game modes.
We have also fixed this error on a few of the other new game modes, including a new game option for the skirmish menu that gives you the option to disable Tech Units entirely, entirely optional of course.

The Twisted Insurrection Client has also received some improvements and updates:

∙ FinalTI now saves maps listed as Custom rather than Standard in the game mode dropbox
∙ Hyperlinks can now be clicked in chat sections
∙ Incorporated followed game icons to CnCNet lobby
∙ Added new game option: Disable Tech Units
∙ Fixed a bug that caused the tray icon to sometimes linger after closing Twisted Insurrection
∙ Added icons next to faction selection options
∙ Improved client handling when checking for Administrative rights

The Client has been thoroughly tested and confirmed that previous bugs found in the last version have been eliminated, though new ones may still linger, there are none that we are aware of, so this is good news!

Those are some of the most important changes to the gameplay since 0.39, but there have been many more, both major and minor, adjustments to the gameplay too, including new additions to our Soundtrack, graphical adjustments and more overall gameplay changes, incluiding improvements and bug fixes to our campaigns. Downloading Twisted Insurrection 0.39.1

To Download Twisted Insurrection 0.39.1, simply run the Twisted Insurrection client and accept the update once the notification of 0.39.1 being available pops up, the client will automatically begin updating your version from 0.39 to 0.39.1 and provide you with a link to the changelog so that you can familiarise yourself with the changes while your version updates.

If you are one of the few people that seems to have problems downloading the update via the client, all of the links to version 0.39 have been updated to include the complete version of 0.39.1, so you can simply redownload the complete ZIP archive instead.

Also in fortification map the ai won't attack at all

i notes that as well nod (Hard AI) is attacking but in small groups 1 by 1 GDI is sending 6 tanks Scatterpack Gattling Walker ore Railgun Platform ore'Goliath' Heavy Tank 90% he is building that particle units the rest are at the base.

they attack but alittle even the ally ai do the same but after a while alot of units remain in the base and wont attack at all on Fortification map

Hi all me again :) too bad to hear that Globotech is not playable faction but that is to dev team to decide and i hope that dev team will make this game more fun with new stuff and new faction in the Future . next i will like to inform map makers is it possible to make starting location more open 80%-90% off the maps have little territory to build a good base with walls lights tower and so on.

Here I represent a classic situation on TI multiplayer lobby.
It's starting to lead me to maddening rage.
By this link we can see screenshot where's one and a half persons playing (this is a rare luck to find more that 2 online at same time), AND EVERY SINGLE GAME IS PASSWORDED TO HELL IN THE NAME OF VERY PERSONAL COSY AUTISM.
People are usually scared of somebody skilled enough/unknown...whatever reason, this is quite queer.
Maybe gaming community should become a -little- bit more open or at devs should add some skill chart/ladder?
Seriously,I and many similar people would like to play this totally awesome mod be played more than once a month.

A skill chart / ladder won't help at all with a low amount of players. Actually, it'd just scare players away when they see that the only other player on the lobby is much more skilled than they are.

There is no simple fix for it. DTA has got its (still relatively low amount of) players by focusing a lot on the multiplayer gameplay and advertising the easy CnCNet multiplayer for years.

Basically, the multiplayer needs to be made as enjoyable as possible and then it needs to be advertised heavily.

What _might_ hurt TI's MP base a bit is the campaign focus - some people might think that TI is primarily a singleplayer modification because of the campaigns. It's hard to say exactly why TI is as inactive as it is on CnCNet right now.

Excuse me for a heresy, but... why you don't use RA2:YR engine with modding addons like Ares? It's more friendly to player (you can hover the cursor over the unit to see how much HP it has without a need to select it, for example).

While the YR engine has advantages compared to the TS one (mostly there's new logics), it also has big downsides. For example, TI couldn't be stand-alone if it was based on the YR engine. Also, changing all the assets and code so that it worked in YR would be an enormous amount of work, especially terrain since the cell size is larger.

A really stunnning mod for the new graphical power alone. What the team had to do to make Tiberian Sun comply with these new effects, I don't even want to know, because it most likely has to involve human sacrifice. Cities look like what was promised before the release of TS by Westwood and the Tiberium lifeforms are as strange and varied as they should have been, even outdoing Firestorm's alien feeling. A few times I thought the units needed more balancing, but overall, every unit feels like it…
