The year is now 2037. The Tiberian World now stands with a very uncertain fate. The two most powerful and influential forces on the planet are trapped in a never ending dead lock of war and combat. Whilst the Global Defense Initiative has suffered many blows and military defeats, the faction itself still stands strong and has shown the world its amazing ability to endure harsh punishments and has recovered much lost ground. The Brotherhood of Nod has struggled and triumphed over its enemies, only for its victory to be short lived by the death of Kane the Messiah, causing an ever lasting deterioration through the Brotherhood and leading to defeats and chaos amongst the large faction. With the end of the First Tiberian War comes the dawn and age of a new, second Tiberian War, with new terrifying possibilities and potential. The fate of Earth lies dangerously unknown.

- What is Twisted Insurrection? -

Twisted Insurrection is a stand alone modification of Tiberian Sun, meaning you don't need to own Tiberian Sun to play. The mod features a completely new in-depth story-line which puts you in an alternate timeline where the Brotherhood of Nod were victorious during the first Tiberian War rather than GDI; After the Brotherhood used the Ion Cannon to destroy an irreplaceable monumental structure, the Global Defense initiative lost all UN support leaving them in total disarray. This is where our story begins.

Along with the complete overhaul and replacing of the original games graphics and having it's own all new soundtrack, Twisted Insurrection brings you all new units, infantry and naval forces to command as either The Brotherhood of Nod or the Global Defense Initiative in both singleplayer and multiplayer missions along with all new structures and base defenses to build as well! The mod also introduces the GloboTech corporation and contains all new campaigns for both GDI and Nod, plus some additional bonus challenge missions and several hidden maps so there is always plenty more to play. TI also features all new game-modes and over 100 multiplayer maps to play either online or in skirmish mode.

Hello everyone. We have had a very busy couple of weeks in the Twisted Insurrection staff section. The staff have grouped together again to give the mod an active pulse again this month and we're preparing for the next release of the game, which will be Twisted Insurrection Version 0.40.

We've begun with further optimisation to improve upon the overall performance, it has been tricky working with such an ancient engine, but results are looking great so far. Naturally there have been a number of balance and gameplay changes too, mostly again based on the input from the public players. The main feature of Version 0.40 will be the improved client, Rampastring has been hard at work to bring many new features and additions to the table, most notably is the statistics feature that will allow you to view your overall game log that keeps track of lots of information you may like to keep on top of!

As you can see, there is plenty of information provided here that is recorded throughout all of the games you play, be they on or offline.

Alongside the new Statistics feature, a direct link from the client main menu to our FinalTI Map Editor is also provided, seeming as how some players were having difficulty trying to locate it in the past. There has also been a large change to our settings menu, adding more options and organising them into their correct categories making navigation much easier.

And also as you can see from the image above, there will be a selection of themes to chose from. Right now there are 4 themes, but we plan to add more and improve upon our current themes in the future. Some other themes will include Twisted Dawn and possibly a mutated theme. We're happy to hear suggestions too if you have any. Click on the images to view them in larger sizes.

Next up, we have three new additions to the Twisted Insurrection Original Soundtrack. Two of which (Plague, Armour and Speed) were composed by Bobek, our newest staff member, the other (Nod Thrash) was composed by Speeder, the mastermind behind the popular Yuri's Revenge mod, Mental Omega.

Really great mod! But I get problems when I want to play this with a friend. I can't cancel games that I open in the network. The music disappears and it starts to lag. When he joins the party he disappears in a few seconds or one of our games crushes. We tried to start it in compatiblity mode and started it with '256 colors'. In the second beta I had no problems to play it with a friend. Can anyone help us please? :/

It sounds like a CNCNet related issue. Twisted Insurrection can't be blamed for the Network problems. Check out www.cncnet.org for information.

A Small bug is still present involving the Banshee Bombers

While i play as NOD, And i have 3 Banshee Supply Facilities constructed, I can only queue 2 Banshee bombers while i still have none.

And if i have 1 built and have not got any more queued, i can still queue only 1.

After 2 are built, Then i can build the 3rd one. Just highlighting it as it was still present in Beta 2

I am aware of the issue, however, there is nothing that can be done about it. It's a strange Tiberian Sun enginge issue.

Not long ago I tried to make the gate stop veins, but couldn't - everything considered it as a wall, not just the vein. :(

So there is no possibility to have gates that stop veins... and if it is like that with all structures, then it means the wall is not considered a structure?

Walls turn into Overlay the second they are placed. Only other overlays can prevent veins from passing through a certain cell.

Structures can also be Immune To Veins, however, Veins will still pass through them so it pretty much defeats the point of giving, say, a gate vein immunity.

I didn't make those map packs, they were fan-made. I have a forum for fan-maps here: Ppmsite.com
I prefer to keep ModDB a lot more organized and official so I removed them from ModDB and told him to post his maps in that forum instead (This is the pack you're looking for Ppmsite.com).

A really stunnning mod for the new graphical power alone. What the team had to do to make Tiberian Sun comply with these new effects, I don't even want to know, because it most likely has to involve human sacrifice. Cities look like what was promised before the release of TS by Westwood and the Tiberium lifeforms are as strange and varied as they should have been, even outdoing Firestorm's alien feeling. A few times I thought the units needed more balancing, but overall, every unit feels like it…
