- Twisted Insurrection: Tiberian Dawn - Nod Victory -

The year is now 2037. The Tiberian World now stands with a very uncertain fate. The two most powerful and influential forces on the planet are trapped in a never ending dead lock of war and combat. Whilst the Global Defense Initiative has suffered many blows and military defeats, the faction itself still stands strong and has shown the world its amazing ability to endure harsh punishments and has recovered much lost ground. The Brotherhood of Nod has struggled and triumphed over its enemies, only for its victory to be short lived by the death of Kane the Messiah, causing an ever lasting deterioration through the Brotherhood and leading to defeats and chaos amongst the large faction. With the end of the First Tiberian War comes the dawn and age of a new, second Tiberian War, with new terrifying possibilities and potential. The fate of Earth lies dangerously unknown.

- What is Twisted Insurrection? -

Twisted Insurrection is a stand alone modification of Tiberian Sun, meaning you don't need to own Tiberian Sun to play. The mod features a completely new in-depth story-line which puts you in an alternate timeline where the Brotherhood of Nod were victorious during the first Tiberian War rather than GDI; After the Brotherhood used the Ion Cannon to destroy an irreplaceable monumental structure, the Global Defense initiative lost all UN support leaving them in total disarray. This is where our story begins.

Along with the complete overhaul and replacing of the original games graphics and having it's own all new soundtrack, Twisted Insurrection brings you all new units, infantry and naval forces to command as either The Brotherhood of Nod or the Global Defense Initiative in both singleplayer and multiplayer missions along with all new structures and base defenses to build as well! The mod also introduces the GloboTech corporation and contains all new campaigns for both GDI and Nod, plus some additional bonus challenge missions and several hidden maps so there is always plenty more to play. TI also features all new game-modes and over 100 multiplayer maps to play either online or in skirmish mode.

Do you have what it takes to drag the shattered Global Defense Initiative out of ruin? Or will you crush all who oppose the will of Kane and his Inner Circle? The choice is yours commander.

We have three announcements to share today. The first is that a new update is going to be available to download very soon that fixes some of the performance issues encountered in the latest version of the mod, namely the lag caused on Nod Mission 16 and [8] The Finale. We pinpointed what caused this issue and we are working towards fixing it, there are still some additional optimisation steps to go through until we're ready to release the patch (0.39.1) but we're happy to announce that the problem is essentially solved. We apologize again if you were disappointed by the performance on those maps!
There isn't a set release date for the patch as of yet, but it will not be far off, we're aiming for less than a week.

Secondly: Our new website developed by Mr. Taxikiller and Aro (TwistedInsurrection.net) is finally online and ready for browsing! We are still working on it but aside form a few tiny bugs everything is as it should be and the site is in good browsing condition. We hope you enjoy it and find any information you have been looking for there.
All instances of our old website (ti.ppmsite.com) should automatically redirect you to the new site. We still have our forums hosted on PPM, but our site will now be hosted at 363-Productions.

Thirdly: To commemorate the launch of TwistedInsurrection.net, the Twisted Insurrection Original Soundtrack Volume 4 is available for download. This latest version includes all Twisted Insurrection music tracks created to date, including Contagion, Act on Insanity, Viperbeat and many more.

Twisted Insurrection Original Soundtrack [Vol. 4]

Volume 4 contains a grand total of 33 tracks, all of which are featured in the game itself. There were supposed to be a few more tracks by Bobisfaction to be released in this volume such as Dark Valley and Plague, but due-to some complications we haven't had time to do so. These tracks will be released as a part of TI OST Vol. 5 and included in the game itself once the to-do-list has shrunk a little bit.

Thanks for reading and we hoped you enjoyed the update. The new patch is shaping up to add more content than just performance improvements, so hopefully it'll be worth the short wait. Oh, and it may be a day late, but Happy Birthday to ErastusMercy, our friend and lead voxel artist of Twisted Insurrection!

I think that the GDI immobilizer Orca should be scraped and instead Orca Fighter should have EMP missiles that disable a single target they hit. WHY? - Because at the moment Immobilizer feels utterly OP, and the Orca Fighter seems as completely useless when compared to Orca Bomber.

Also - Nod Tech Center should provide some kind of super power (good choice with the GDI one too btw!) - WHY? Because in "before-RA2" games tech checks are made only when factory or the tech building is builded, not when they are destroyed. Meaning that Tech center is useless after its being build, until they destroy your barracks, factory, CY...
And there is still no way to harvest Tiberium Weed - are you planing on adding a way to harvest it for Tiberium Missiles? Or will there be a third faction that can use it?

Nod loses its ability to use the Apocalypse Missile if it doesn't have a tech center.

You need both the Temple of Nod and the Tech Center to launch the Apocalypse Missile.

I can't get to the GDI mission 7. When I complete the placeholder mission 6 i get "unable to initiate map selection" error and then it goes back to mission 6 again.

I am aware of this issue, but unsure on what causes it sadly. I plan to look into it, however, I'm taking a much needed break from modding I'm afraid, so there may not be any updates on this for a while.

Is this a single occasion, or does it crash always after destroying said SAM Bunker? I haven't had any problems with the mission, and I did play it with PB3 Re.

Heh, it's strange one of installations show exceptions when trying to connect to other games. If i create a game it is not shown on games list.

But when i use cncNet there is a way:
-Press Create New game
-After that actions players can see and join game
-Alt+tab and press Start Game
-Now game start to load (only after alt+tab)
-Now we can play with others (only by cncNet)

WTF with my windows or what?

A really stunnning mod for the new graphical power alone. What the team had to do to make Tiberian Sun comply with these new effects, I don't even want to know, because it most likely has to involve human sacrifice. Cities look like what was promised before the release of TS by Westwood and the Tiberium lifeforms are as strange and varied as they should have been, even outdoing Firestorm's alien feeling. A few times I thought the units needed more balancing, but overall, every unit feels like it…
