Twisted Insurrection is a critically acclaimed, standalone modification based on the Command & Conquer™ Tiberian Sun™ engine. It features a complete redesign of the original game, set in an alternate "what-if?" timeline where the Brotherhood of Nod was victorious during the first Tiberian War. Do you have what it takes to drag the shattered Global Defense Initiative out of ruin? Or will you crush all who oppose the will of Kane and his Inner Circle? The choice is yours commander.
I have been working with HG_SCIPCION to replace the roads remaining from Tiberian Sun, we're nearly finished now. Finally getting rid of one more element that maintains the Tiberian Sun feeling. This is Twisted Insurrection!
Those are some sweet looking roads.
Looks D-Dayish. Also, I'm not sure about the border stones, unlikely the infested environment will spare them so they will look like new and there won't be any missing. Would be interesting to see the whole set though.
The border stones (or curbs) will remain. The set here is a generic set that is made in mind to use in all kinds of environments rather than clogging up the list with versions made with desert settings in mind etc. so this generic style that has urban out outlandish feelings was made. That, and I was just sick of looking at the TS roads.
Well... then I hope you hate the default tunnel entrances just as much :P
Yes. Yes I do.
This is sweet. What's next on the to-replace list?
Cliffs. The base set has already been remade with a new style, but there may be improvements over time. You can see the new and old set in the shot above.
I seem to remember somewhere you said buildable pavement had been removed due to not working with some other terrain elements (or something like that) is that a soon to be fixed or is it an ongoing issue?
or will that be replaced also?
Currently looking into a solution for that. It causes strange graphical errors with some terrain types, especially on Twisted Dawn terrain, so we're looking for an ideal solution. I'm thinking of just making it place blocky instead of smoothed edges.
They edge automatically right? You could make the edge tiles complete, with a rigged end to make it look raised like actually pavement maybe?
That's really nice pavement, has that generic worn look that makes it fit in anywhere from the city to the Tiberium wastes. Awesome work!
We're not in Tiberian Sun, anymore.
*We're not in Phoenix anymore.
Could maybe do with some sharper edges on the markings, or is this intentional? It does look worn, which is good, but would there be new roads too then?
Wow Nice Game! What factions are on this game other than Nod & GDI? what patches or files would I need to play it on my Windows XP computer? I have the Original games already on my XP computer would the Modded games corrupt my original C & C games?
Everybody on this forum is just too damn funny. Not in Phoenix(base) anymore!!! LOL!!!!
