Twisted Insurrection is a critically acclaimed, standalone modification based on the Command & Conquer™ Tiberian Sun™ engine. It features a complete redesign of the original game, set in an alternate "what-if?" timeline where the Brotherhood of Nod was victorious during the first Tiberian War. Do you have what it takes to drag the shattered Global Defense Initiative out of ruin? Or will you crush all who oppose the will of Kane and his Inner Circle? The choice is yours commander.
I am very pleased to announce that I have managed to implement the first beta version of the Twisted Dawn game-mode ready for Public Beta 5!
twisted dawn can be switched like classic/enchanced mode in DTA?
It's an option when setting up Skirmish or Online games. Select the Game Mode drop box and Twisted Dawn is available there along with Default, Survival and Checkpoint.
And I was about to ask if Twisted Dawn is gonna be a new game mode for skirmish(and online). It seems I got my answer now. I'm looking forward for PB5.
I think it's time for a Mr. Burns:
"Excellent"
Where are the Ezekiel's Wheels? How could you forget the most iconic Dawn Nod unit?
LoL. They could be there or they could be trolling people by parking in the line of a drive through?
I didn't forget. It's just invisible. As it should be.
Invisible? No, I see them just fine, they're along the sides of the GDI units.
Touché.
Thing is, GDI's vehicles are all-around better.
But it looks like with this image, Nod definitely has more units. And if those Stealth Tanks are actually lurking around somewhere then Nod would definitely win this fight.
This is an early beta of Twisted Dawn and though we've been play testing it don't be surprised if its a bit buggy. However, that said I think those who've wanted to play with the TD assets will be pleased with Aro's work.
Now I'd like to personally thank you, the TI fans. Many of you probably don't know who I am, but I've been responsible for the majority of the games voxel assets.
When I first joined the team, the TD missions were going to be such a small part of the mod that the hidden WW voxels were deemed sufficient. And even though I was advised not to bother I decided to remake the TD vehicles anyway because imo TI deserved better. I was happy to see that in the end my work impressed Aro enough that he decided to add a few more TD missions into the mod.
So when I read just how passionate some of you have been regarding a playable Twisted Dawn I couldn't help but feel flattered. I dunno if it's because you like my work or if its because you're just massive Tiberian Dawn fans but either way, thanks guys.
Erastus is the artist responsible for 95% of the Voxels in the Mod, it would take a long time to list every vehicle that he is responsible for, but he has been "churning out machines of destruction since 2007". For example, every vehicle in the screenshot above is by Erastus. ;)
This is one of the men that have done a significant amount of work since the early days of Twisted Insurrection and the units wouldn't be anywhere near as graphically pleasing as they are now without him.
We have been planning Twisted Dawn together since the Dawn era vehicles were being remade and we're happy that it will finally be available to the public this Saturday.
Eractus deserves a lot of congratulations for his amazing work he have done for TI,so far.All I can say for this guy,is that he is doing an amazing work, and to keep up his good voxeling, that's sure!!!
Ersastus*, bro.
Sorry,my bad.
S'all good dude, thanks for your post.
My pleasure,buddy.
What time will the update be out on the 19th?
Approximately 4PM GMT. The time it takes to verify on ModDB could throw this off, of course. I will upload it to our Forum's parent site, PPM, and share the link here once it is done so that you don't have to wait.
@ Aro
may i ask what mod tools are you using??
Ppmsite.com
Looks like you need bigger terrain tiles for your beautiful vehicle fleet.
