True Combat is an action packed realism mod where big jumps, fancy strafing and fantasy weapons are no where to be seen. Expect hard fought team-based objective battles where staying alive is only the first challenge you will face.
- Tactical mode wherein you aim using the iron sights of the actual gun; read: no crosshairs.
- Two teams, different mission objectives, emphasising realistic team tactics.
- Scriptable mission objectives in maps.
- The ability for different weapons to penetrate different objects with varying degrees of success.
- Realistic sounds for both enviroment and player.
- The addition of C4 and smoke grenades to your arsenal.
- New attachment system for weapon upgrades (scopes, silencers, laser sights, etc.).
- Brand spankin' new models for the weapons and player.
- A host of new animations for weapon reloads, player movement, etc.
- Realistic lens flares, glare, and flash blend effects.
- Multilayer bullet penetration system.
- Freeclimb
- Voice commands for quick communication with teammates.
- The choice between 4 different huds, including the old-school flavor from previous builds.

I'm happy to announce that ClanBase has set up a ladder for the Q3A mod True Combat!
Version 1.0 of True Combat was released just shy of 2 weeks ago, and already 4 days after it was released it had been downloaded 10'000 times. Accoarding to GameSpy it's the 7th most popular Q3 mod at the moment.
If you want to sign your clan up for the ladder on ClanBase, you can do that here, but I recommend that you read trough the ladder rules before you start playing. If enough clans sign up for the ladder, we may also consider setting up a cup for this mod soon.

choppi, u were banned from TC and now banned from NS, you need a reality check, get your self a life, stop terrorizing and lying to ppl.
I don't understand why CC.Majin.EsF must keep pimping his MDO over TC forums an sites. Jesus try to get people to play NS in other places. I know you desperate need players but try other gammign comunities.
TC is the best Q3 MOD and once we have the new 1.0 is goign to be unstopable.

TrueCombat is a great mod but all the lauds go to the original Dev Team as the current version has not been updated by the New Team in over a year.
It also goes a bit below the basement that the New Team is claiming to have won an award they were only nominated for on both their German and U.S. web sites.
Quite an oversight as the link on their own site clearly shows the winner...
Three cheers for True Combat that the work of it's original developers still shines even though it has seen no attention in the way of any updates for over a year.
Three boos to the "new" Team Terminator for letting things languish and claiming awards you have not won.

Hi, Just a little update.
The new version of TC will have a whole lot of new features. Including better physics, missions, Lean animations, new models, and a whole lot more. This little beauty is close to being done and you shall see it coming out soon, more on it soon.
