Troy : Divine Playground is a multiplayer First Person Shooter (FPS) putting the emphasis on cooperative gameplay. It is a total conversion of the famous Half-Life 2 game. The mod is the final project of seven students in software engineering at the University of Sherbrooke. Most of the core members of the team have real experience in different game companies. T:DP is all about defending and assaulting bases in a Greek setting – with an emphasis on teamwork. Players – agents of the Gods – will influence the tide of the Great Trojan War by possessing and controlling soldiers on the field. Customize your character with a unique skill system and use strategic mechanisms to dominate the battlefield! Troy: Divine Playground website
Tory: Devine Playground is nearing its completion date and the team has released a gameplay trailer which can be found on their site: The video showcases many of the new features this mod offers, such as spirt spawning, massive battles, and advanced AI soldiers.
Diesel has a good point. In games you can usually dodge and take cover based off what you see from the player model's reactions. In the video, it looked like the AI walked around aimlessly until someone popped their head. When that happened, Tons and tons of arrows, spears, and rock are just bolted at you with 100% accuracy. You guys need to use Goals and Hints to make the AI more realistic. otherwise it will just come down to who can launch enough at the other first.
Didn't want to sound too harsh the first time around, but Dire is right. The A.I. looks extremely stupid. Getting stuck in doors, not attacking you right away, etc.
Yeah looks like a fun mod, and quite original too.
I have to agree with the other guys though the A.I does seem a bit dumb... whats really bugging me though is the animation. The first person animation looks weak and makes the weapons seem like they have no weight. You just have to get your animators too add reaction to the weapons swinging.. especially the bow and arrow fire animation. It just makes it look crap.
Get the animation and the A.I fixed and this will be a real winner.

I hope you fix this before you release.
Can't wait :D
Err sorry wrong news post lol. I watched the video though and it looks like fun. The only thing that looked a little weird was the A.I.
I dont know how to feel about this. It looks good but the AI looks dumb as a rock.
