As a traitor keeping valuable information away from innocents can often be the difference between victory and death. Hiding bodies away is one way to keep your enemies in the dark. This prevents the traitors from knowing that their fellow innocent is dead, causes confusion and best of all hides away evidence that points to the traitors.
The result of this can often be mass graves.
