Triptych is a Lovecraftian horror adventure written and developed by Dark Craft Studios. It deals with two brother's journey into the occult, Necromancy, and cosmic horror.
"The silhouette of the ghoulish dancers circle the flame, ascending still has the rain pours down."
Parallel to the main story of Triptych is actually a multi-faceted ritual -- an extended example of Pagan and Gnostic theology -- which takes place in the background at least four times for each level. Viewers can witness it in the "burning tree" segment in Chapter 1, for example, which tie into the brother's past.
The moral of the backstory should be made pretty clear by the end of Triptych, and still more can be learned from the subtle imagery and complex distant cutscenes. Observance and patience is rewarded in Triptych, unlike in Newport, where it was neglected.
Glad to see you're still up on this! ;-)
