Following the destruction of Nova Prospekt, Gordon Freeman has abruptly disappeared and is presumed dead.

The city has no hero and morale is low. The fate of City 17 now rests on the resistance fighters.

You are Matthew, a citizen who lost his family and home during the invasion. After barely escaping with your life when the police raid your apartment, you are recruited into the resistance and must prove yourself on the wartorn streets of City 17.

Triage shows the darker, grittier side of the conflict between the combine and the resistance from the perspective of a common citizen. Witness the horrors of the combine-human war and the devastating toll it takes on both sides.

Triage is an expansion to Half-Life 2's single player experience. New weapons, upgraded AI, large scale firefights and a mature story are only a few things to look forward to in this mod.

The mod takes place after Gordon Freeman's teleporter malfunction in Nova Prospekt, causing him to disappear for a week. Triage tells the story about the turn of events allowing the resistance to regain control of City 17 in his absence.

In 2013, the Triage team finally released a buggy, somewhat finished part 1 after 6 years of modding while balancing school/work life and battling Steam issues.

Shortly after the release, the team split up to pursue their individual interests and spend time on their lives outside modding. This, along with the steampipe update and my current full-time job left me with a lot of work to do and very little time or resources. So, unfortunately there hasn't been much progress towards fixing the mod or releasing any other content.

After the steampipe update, the mod stopped working and I didn't have the time or knowledge to get it running again. However, today I was surprised to see Malortie voluntarily released a "patch" (http://www.moddb.com/mods/triage/downloads/triage-patch-source-sdk-2013) by rewriting the binaries in source 2013. It's missing some of the features (the movement, AI, weapon handling, gore effects, hud) so it isn't the same, but it does function from beginning to end, which is really cool and I'm very grateful for his efforts.

I have been messaged a few times by fans asking for me to create more Triage content. I can't promise a lot in my current situation, and I am a bit reluctant to make mods with anything Valve related (lately many modders have been moving to the indie scene, and it's also pretty clear mods and the source engine are not a priority to Valve anymore - which is fair, since they don't make much money off those things).

Anyways, let me know what you think. If there's enough interest, I can probably redo binaries in source 2013 and release a very short conclusion to Triage. This wouldn't be a patch but a couple maps to conclude the story. If not, I may move on to doing something indie related (probably UE4) and perhaps give an early demo to the Triage fans.

BTW, if I remember correctly, I accidentally packaged a prototype map in Triage. You can try it by typing map stealthmission in the console. Be warned, it is buggy and laggy, but if you're desperate to see something Triage-related, it's there!

Also I can tell you guys you can use GCFScape to move ep1 and ep2 to triage and then again put the triage files into the Triage folder

You know what i mean I just got the mod fixed the mod is working no errors or black and pink textures

Its steam that broke everything so yea

Hi everyone, sorry for the lack of updates, I've been very busy. Updates have broken the mod, the textures and models from episode two are not loading properly anymore (hence the pink checkerboards and error models).

I'm away from my home PC right now so I can't work on it at the moment, and I can't guarantee that I will know the solution to it. However I will investigate and see if I can at least find a temporary fix or at least the cause of the problem soon (hopefully before the end of this month)

Yo, DONT STOP MAKING PART 2! Even if the mod is ******, it is still a mod.

You could just later, when you have time, release a REDUX version, that fixes ALL the issues.

BTW, mods don't have to be perfect. Look at Lost Alpha. They worked at it for 6 years, and still the mods looks pretty bad, but it's still a mod.

Mods are free. Free = No quality. If you make this buyable (I don't think that Valve will let you do that), you can make a ton of money, but you will have to make it the top-quality product.

Hope that my speech gave you some morale to work on this project.

I think maybe they put custom textures in and forgot to place them in the mod folder itself.

This mod didnt get my attention on the moddb page but hey. This mod is "overwhelming" like in the first level you start shooting and blasting everything you see outha nowhere! wich is fun ;P though the first two levels couldf used more Detail like the last 2-3 levels!
