Welcome to the official introduction of the Trails of Deception modification. We have been in existance and in heavy development for some time now, and are quite a prominent mod on Crymod. We would like to present our project to the ModDB community now, and for some time we will be releasing new content to you daily!

Weaponry

The first weapon we wish to show is arguably the coolest weapon since the invention of weapons themselves. We would like to present to you, a fully functional, animated lightsaber weapon! Ingame, these will be used by the main character, as a close combat melee weapon, and additionally it can be used to block blaster bolts if the right skills are obtained. The weapon will be upgradeable, with different crystals, beam colors, and various hilts. The current lightsaber was animated and implemented by shredzorz, and modelled by TDUBDUB. Here are some screenshots of the lightsaber;

Someone wrote: The lightsaber was a blade of pure energy emitted from a hilt most often crafted by the wielder to match their own needs, preferences, and style. Because of the unique balance of the saber, with all its weight in the hilt, and a strong gyroscopic effect it was very difficult for the untrained to wield. In the hands of an expert in tune with the Force, such as the Jedi or their ideological opposites, the Sith, the lightsaber was a weapon to be greatly respected, even feared. To wield a lightsaber was to demonstrate incredible skill and confidence, as well as masterful dexterity and attunement to the Force.Through the millennia of their use, the lightsaber became synonymous with the Jedi and their values to uphold peace and justice throughout the galaxy. This perception endured despite the many early conflicts with Sith and Dark Jedi who also wielded what the general populace often called laser swords.

DT-57 Heavy Blaster Pistol

Someone wrote: BlasTech Industries' custom DT-57, nicknamed the "Annihilator", was a weapon similar in appearance to the E-5 blaster rifle used by the B1 battle droids of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. This pistol was of the "superheavy" designation used for models such as the Caliban Model X and T-6 Thunderer. Highly customizable, the DT-57 featured a high output blaster magazine, a large trigger guard and a top-mounted scope. The DT-57 packed a heavy punch without loss of range.

DH-17 Blaster Pistol

Someone wrote: The DH-17 was an example of a typical blaster pistol, and was a standard-issue military sidearm in the Imperial Navy, the Alliance to Restore the Republic and the New Republic Defense Fleet. A short-range combat weapon, and also effective at medium ranges the DH-17 had an optimum range of thirty meters, but its armor-piercing blaster bolts were still effective, though somewhat less accurate at up to four times that distance. A semiautomatic weapon, it could also be modified to fire in short bursts and had a low-power stun setting, capable of knocking a human out for up to ten minutes.

E-11 Blaster Rifle

Someone wrote: The E-11 rifle proved to be a highly versatile design, spawning a wide number of variations. To make up for the high demand for these weapons, BlasTech authorized SoroSuub and Merr-Sonn to manufacture them under license. These three manufacturers were found mixed indiscriminately across the Empire in Imperial stocks.
Stormtroopers carried E-11 rifles throughout the Galactic Civil War. The design was based on that of the DC-15 series of blaster rifles, carbines, and pistols favored by the Republic clone troopers.

The basic E-11 was 438 mm long when folded and weighed 2.6 kilograms. The power cell housing opened on the left side of the action housing, above the trigger, giving the E-11 a very low profile (useful when shooting prone or from a barricade). The E-11's plasma gas cartridges allowed for over 500 shots, while the power cells lasted for about 100 shots, depending on the setting.

Wookie Bowcaster

Someone wrote: In use as early as the Jedi Civil War, the bowcaster could unleash a bolt with impressive stopping power essential to defend Wookiees against the fierce predators of Kashyyyk's forests.A polarizing orb sat at each end of the bow, generating a magnetic field used to accelerate the quarrels. After cocking the weapon, a simple trigger sped the quarrel forward and charged it in an envelope of plasmoid. To generate the requisite potential energy for conversion into kinetic energy, the cocking spring required the strength of a Wookiee to draw back, although some modern bowcasters featured automatic cocking mechanisms for use by other species.

While decreasingly effective beyond 30 meters, the bowcaster was more powerful and accurate than typical blaster weapons. Some bowcasters could load multiple quarrels to create a spread-fire effect, further enhancing their close range effectiveness, while others could fire specially charged bolts that could ricochet off certain surfaces.

Vehicles

Z-95 Headhunter

The first vehicle which we would like to present you is the Z-95 Headhunter. If you are familiar with the popular X-Wing, then you will recognize the Z-95, its precedent. We have this ingame fully working, and we hope to give you some videos soon, but our videographer has been busy recently so we haven't gotten a chance. We have a system using flowgraphs which allows you to change the color of the fired lasers at a terminal nearby. Here are some ingame screenshots:
