This mod will add new units to your supreme commander Forged Alliance game. This mod can be played in both single player and multiplayer. All my units will have Sorian AI support.
My only issue with this, and the Havoc is that the wing design doesnt seem aerodynamically sound. These are units that need to be fast, but with the layout of the wings it just looks like they wouldnt be stable in flight especially during the hard bank and turns of combat.
I know the aircraft in SupCom have weird flight characteristics, and that would put this into the realm of aesthetic taste. But I wouldnt be surprised if im not the only one who feels this way.
Other than that issue the overall designs are nice, but I think the wing configurations need a bit of work.
I totally see your point and depending on the game I tend to sometimes feel the same way regarding real world realism.
But with SupCom though, it is a hugely stylised game and relies on the improbable all the way to the crazy impossible. It's somewhat its charm. I mean has anyone ever mentioned that the scale of the games huge mechs would collapse under their own weight or that using battleships that fire unguided artillery is obsolete? ;-D
I also thought about this before but to be honest I think that the air units use more of an anti gravity system rather than the jet engines. I could be wrong in which case you are right.
I think part of the problem with this and the last aircraft is that the wing is too far back for the aircraft to be stable realistically. Consciously or not, people are used to seeing aircraft that have certain layouts, and so it looks strange if those layouts are changed.
I don't care about realism, but following a realistic design can sometimes make things look more appealing.
yep, the two missiles on the sides are long-range low damage. The rest of them are a short range salvo that does a little more damage per second than the normal Janus fighter. :)
Impressive! It may be not "aerodynamically" or "stable realistically", but we may consider that the battlefield may be located on various plentes with different gravity or weather and atmospheric conditions. And some of the original units are not so realistic, based on "Earth" grounds. But SupCom is a great game that deserve such units as fas as is keeping all faction's ballance in resonable values.
Well the point i was trying to make is that most vanilla UEF aircraft fit with normal physics for aircraft that we use to this day. Even the vanilla T1 Fighter looked somewhat aerodynmically sound.
That unit looks awesome. Also, the skull is a really nice touch.

it could play role in earth like planets i think if we talk about reality
OMG WOW BURNIE THIS IS AMAZIN!!!
wo0ow! VERY COOL! i hope it does have an special missile firing system! you know like long range heat seeking with a cool trail for missile :D

Ooh! I really want this!
i have a problem with this model, the experimental satellite (artemis) from black ops can be taken down with this jet
