The Game
Inspired by TacticalOps, a game based on Epic's awardwinning UnrealEngine, a group of friends took an ambitious step, creating a sequel to their favorite game on a new level of UnrealTechnology.
Led by the people behind TacticalOps and TOST, backed up by a bunch of artists, modellers, mappers and supporters, the team behind TO: Crossfire pushes the limitations of Epic's Unreal Engine 2.
Facing the choice of bringing terror to the world or fighting it, you will be part of decisive battles at locations you will not forget. On the first day of the Tactical Ops: Crossfire prerelease, a day for which some players have literally waited years, Macologist has interviewed Petter Flink, a TO:C team administrator and the Mac member team, who also betatested for TO:AoT, TOST, and the Mac UT2004. The original Tactical Ops was the most popular mod for Unreal Tournament, with the online population eclipsing even some of the stock UT game types. Now, the mod returns reborn, updated for Unreal Tournament 2004, and hopes to continue the legacy as one of the most successful Unreal mods ever.
Thanks also go to Lumbo (Timo Kuttenkeuler) and of course project leader MadOnion (Cristoph Fauss) for the inteview with Flink as well as exclusive screenshots of TO:C! Topics range from both general and platform specific questions, so all TO fans will find something of interest.

Well since this is a UT 2004 Mod, that means we have been waiting more than 2 years for this and its only 80% done? Hope you can all wait another year. I know Ive been counting the days and I cant count that high. Hurry the heck up! I cant take it no more.
I think you have to repatch UT2004 with the 3369 patch even if you've already done that because the Registry is messed up
release !! :P
I still can't wait for this. I always prefered Tac Ops to Counter-Strike and am definately looking forward to this.
CS, meh, dont get me started. I would find it insulting to have my mod compared to Counter Strike.
