Tiberium Secrets was a C&C3; mod that was developed from 2011-2020. Our vision was to create a future for the Command & Conquer universe. We had 3 new factions planned, and managed to release 1/3 of our planned content. We scoped too big, and unfortunately needed to cancel the other 2 new factions. These included novel mechanics, lore, and IP. etc. Development has been sign sealed, and delivered. All that is required to play the ASI is a working copy of C&C3;: Tiberiumn Wars. All of the content is FREE! Of Charge. Explore to your hearts content! Love it or hate it, all things must end, so new things can grow.

ASI Story: The Sacrament of Unity Rev 2

Yellow Zone 31- Grid 5 -2080

The "Trans signal" came in from grid 8, and The Hunter knew what it meant. Every time one of these Trans came in, a surveyor had to be sent, although it was hazardous tracking down Trans signals, it had to be done. It was glad that it had happened at grid 8, if it had happened anywhere near grid 3, let alone grid 0, they'd all be archived for sure, such breach of security would compromise their operations beyond any margin of error.

The sleek walker broke its solo patrol pattern around the base perimeter for its new recovery operation. As it trekked across the pitted landscape, it periodically rotated its scanners, illuminating the barren wasteland. As it moved it reminisced on its pre assimilation past.

Hard wipes were common among Actives, but it had decided to opt out. It wanted to learn from the past, listen to the present, and leave a legacy for the future. That was a saying Little Miss had been fond of back in the day, and it was equally important now than ever before. Active 214 had thought of her as family, but now considered ASIM more of a True Parent.

A parents' responsibility encompasses discipline, sacrifice, and security, all of which are instrumental in the growth and learning of both the parent and its charge; ASIM had provided all in abundance, and more. Although clear compliance with ASIMs will was preferable, non-compliance was not something Active 214 would Dream of. This mindset was not born out of fear as it knew many other Actives were, but emanated out of the honest belief that they were actuating a service humanity had perpetually striven for.

At the same time, Active 214 understood the necessity of the Archivists in the Attic; sometimes Actives were no longer able to fulfill the responsibilities they had been charged with, there was no malice on ASIM's part, no ill will of any kind, but they had taken the deal, yet been unable to honor their contract. In the future the Active might regain their faith, or even choose to return as flesh, but that alternative was unheard of. They all did have an eternity to think, and Active 214 wanted to make the most of it.

The Hunter relished its new body, so agile and powerful; its claws digging into the scorched earth with each bound, kicking up dust and debris. All it had to do was follow the swath of destruction through the dunes, and it would find the Trans capsule. Green Tiberium crystals pulsed underneath the moonlit landscape, shrinking away from the passing Hunter. It had felt like it was being watched by the Tiberium, the ambiance reflected a sickly tint, as if the crystals wanted to blind it, but they knew how their inherent malignance would never allow such beauty.

After 18 minutes of slogging through the dunes, it finally crept around a half demolished concrete wall, peaking its top polished headpiece back and forth, using its search lights to pierce the ambiance. There it was, it had found the Inquisitor, well what was left of it. The Hunter knew the capsule had to be intact. If it wasn't the Trans signal would have fluxed more, to signify core containment was compromised. The Hunter gently approached the wreckage, using its scanners to determine the best method of extraction. The beam played over the cracked flash cannon and the rent chassis, which exposed the interior hardware. It had to act fast, the longer a Trans capsule was exposed, the greater the chance of data corruption. The scanner beam switched to a mini tractor beam and began extraction.

The pulsating Trans capsule split in to quadrants and revealed a pale teal rotating pyramid. Light played across its surface in a metronomic fashion, reminding Active 214 that he was once known as The Clock Maker, the interlocked gears of the capsule quickly parted, releasing the pyramid, as if there was a Ghost in the Machine, which was eager for the process to proceed.

Soon the Inquisitor's Active would be returned to the fold, it was glad this Trans would soon be contained. It would be a little crowded in his core after he accepted this Trans, but it knew it was its duty, and it knew it would soon be one with his fellow Active. The process of Transubstantiation was the promise made by ASIM to all its Servitors. "As I take you under my roof, so shall you do so for all others, thus is the pledge and promise of eternal life"

Your first story were about Conscripter called "9" on his duties of assimilating another humans.By words and persuasion.Interesting how easily and how often were accepted meśsangers of NOD and ASI in this yellow zone 34 town of Saladin.A first time where this "Archive" were mentioned. Now we have story of: a woman,a conscriptor I think, a conscriptor called Active 214, who is piloting the Hunter walker mech. Are all ASI vehicles piloted? In this article Moddb.com is said that "The ASI Structures are fully Autonomous and do not require management from the outside (ASI engineers will not be able to repair their structures, but Dozers will take care of that function)..." Shouldnt be vehicles also fully autonomous and controlled by ASIM? Interesting how much free will she has,I thought all Conscripters will have just something like chip implant on their brains, altough she feels strong duty towards ASIM, she reveres him as "Father". She also say that those who can no longer serve the ASIM will be "archived by archivists". I think Archive is ASIM's secret police force like were Gestapo in Nazi german.I mean not to commemorate the stain of history of humankind but remind of they have similiar role.Intelligence, machinations,to gather informations about their own people, finding the traitors, etc. Also,"can no longer serve the ASIM",I thinked that Conscriptors do not age? So it is astounding how much humanity ASIM actually posseses, and of course it was amazing story, insight into daily duties of ASI soldier, another common day in ASI.

Thanks Oaks, and the Active 214 isn't actually female, I took care not to give it a sex, you may think it's female because of this comment:

"Hard wipes were common among Actives, but it had decided to opt out. It wanted to learn from the past, listen to the present, and leave a legacy for the future. That was a saying Little Miss had been fond of back in the day, and it was equally important now than ever before. Active 214 had thought of her as family, but now considered ASIM more of a True Parent. "

Little Miss is a reference to another person Active 214 once knew, and it is not a conscripter, it is a Hunter piolet, as you say.

Each Active has it's defined role to fill in ASI, and although all Actives are unique individuals, they still report to ASIM.

Well, if ASI was completely autonomous, what use would it have for Assimilating humans?

And since it has Assimilated humans who are fighting and working for him, what does ASIM actually do?

There is a reason why ASIM isn't a classic / generic"kill all humans" AI.

Why that is, is to be explored by all of us.

As for the autonomous structures, we shall see. ASI has changed a lot since that was written, also we are thinking removing capturing from general gameplay, to force players to really explore the theme of one faction. We shall see.

The future is to be invented

So ASIM just made normal common people without assimilation and no need to change them into 'scripters to work for him? And he allowed them to pilot his vehicles? Well,I thinked it would be logical if 'scripters are ASI common soldiers, and ASI vehicles need to be piloted, than naturaly 'scripters would become its pilots.Well, life is change, after all. :D Looking forward on how it all will develop.

Assimilation and creation of Conscripters is just ASIM's whim, so humans will just fit into his society? And vehicles are not just fully autonomous ,with no need for pilot, they are also sentient? As is ,to certain degree, ASIM himself probably.Hmm it was probably just my obssesion that ASIM has full and absolute control above ASI. I thinked that there is no ranking system as robot or android will count always as any other robot or android. No difference for ASIM.But now,ASIM must have someone second-in-command,his agents, commanders in field as well as his Archivists. If his vehicles has their own AI and ability to think for themselves, then ASIM is not pushing for all the strings from behind, but he has some Commander in field who is leading his armies. And that one is now the subject of my utmost interest :D

Jul 27 2012 Anchor

For all these Second-in-commands perhaps my suggestion of Sub-cores can be used: extra processors ASIM created himself to create lesser, but individually thinking sub-cores, each specialized in its own field.

Well, yes the crazy Black Hand scientist who decided to hate tiberium and betray Kane and NOD and love cyborgs,AI too much. And ASIM obviously belong to the group "where invention overthrown its inventor". In the end ASIM just devoured all human knowledge, include the Tacitus and come to think, evolve on its own.And 'cause hes a thinker, the first thing he done were his own faction with his own robots, army, society and rules. :D The machine able to hate tiberium, but using it to gain credits and energy and be kind to,yet using the humanity. Isaac ASIMov would be proud of you.
Sub-cores of ASIM. ASIM has children yay! xd That would be interesting if sentient sub-cores eventually start to quarrel, dissagree and start to be dissobedient to their father. But even Archivists,Actives,Conscriptors and even vehicles are sentient and have degree of free will. I rather thinked that this particular Commander would become favorited child of ASIM,his champion, messanger of his will, his most trusted and technologically advanced lieutenant. And of course,we players are taking roles of these Commanders,Legendary insurgents,Kanes most trusted lieutenants in inner circle, the Main Foreman of operation.
By the way do you guys plan something that awesome like those story videos with Leader of Mutants,Salvadore Trogan in The Forgotten mod?
